The Internet has significantly made out lives easier in many aspects, not excluding the field of advertising. The dawn of Internet marketing has opened many doors for small and big businesses alike. It has become a reliable and result-oriented means to promote your website and help you gain more profit. It is convenient, easy to learn, and sure to reach a wide market. It is not necessarily cheap but sometimes, it could be done for free. Positive results await you if you employ this tool properly and ethically.

From the term itself, Internet marketing is the process of advertising or promoting your products and services online. It could also be referred to as online marketing, web marketing, eMarketing, or Internet advertising. The best part about website promotion online is that you get feedback regarding your product in a span of minutes, or if not, quicker than offline advertising.

As with conventional advertising, online marketing also requires creativity and is better effective if it adheres to basic advertising rules. Web advertising could come in the form of banner ads, pay per click ads, search engine optimization and marketing, and email campaigns, among many other possibilities. Online ads should therefore be short, concise, informative, and interesting all at the same time.

Their placement is vital. It is recommended that you publish your ads on related sites so that the quality of the traffic that you drive into your website is high. They should be attention-grabbing because the attention span of Internet users tend to be very short because new things, and in this case, ads are introduced to them every minute. The Internet has truly established itself as a powerful and influential advertising medium. It is updated and extensive as well.

Apart from advertising products and services, Internet marketing also involves gathering and analyzing data about your customers as well as the effective management of customer relations online. Of course, it does not need to be said that you have to build your website to serve as your main “headquarters.” You are required to make your site as comprehensive as possible to encourage your visitors to avail of whatever it is that you have to offer. You could also place banner ads on other sites with links leading to your own.

The process seems easy, and indeed, it could be once you learn all the basics of online advertising. It is important that you map out a specific marketing strategy before embarking on a full-fledged online marketing campaign. In order to achieve this, you must have a clear set of goals in mind. Know where you want to go and plan how you will be able to get there. Always keep in mind and focus on your target market. Only then will you be able to wisely decide what search engine optimization tactics you could use, how your ads should look and feel, where you should place them, and what other possible campaigns you could choose to do.

Have fun advertising online!

Webinars are now becoming extremely popular. The real question is this: Are they actually worth your time investment? Can Internet webinars effectively teach you something that will make a marked difference in your life? Or are webinars just another “flash in the pan” marketing fad that makes big money for the pros (while its hot) while distracting you just long enough to get your attention, and perhaps extract a few bucks out of your pocket?

Oh, pardon me . . . you might not even know what a webinar is – or how it works!

That’s okay; most people are clueless about webinars, in the year 2009. As popular as Internet webinars are becoming, still many of us haven’t yet participated in one.

Here is a brief description of a webinar: An Internet webinar is an online “meeting” where many people participate to learn how to do something or get better at something. A host or teacher is usually and hopefully at the top of his/her game while conducting the webinar. Webinars can be almost as good as a seminar where you meet the host or teacher in person. But since seminars can be very costly, often 5,000 or more, webinars can often cost a tenth of the price and you still get all the same practical information. And you don’t need to travel 100′s or 1000′s of miles!

Internet webinars can be a real time and money saver.

Let’s get very clear about webinars. As new as they are they CAN have some real value depending on the host or teacher. Sure, some webinars exist with one goal in mind – to bleed you of your money and then further insult you by bombarding you with junk mail, after junk mail. So before taking the time to invest in a webinar, or even bother with a free webinar, heed this excellent advice; Always be sure that you are properly invited by a trusted business associate or quality friend.

The level of quality information with ANY webinar is directly related to your inside contact. Do not make the mistake of paying for a webinar from unknown sources, especially if the source is from an unknown ad or unknown mail in your inbox.

When participating in an Internet webinar, always be sure that a recording is supplied to you for future use so you can easily review all the information. Obviously, having a record of the info will help you get the MOST from your internet seminar investment.

Learning happens in stages: when you go back to the webinar recording for review, you will be surprised about how different the recording sounds compared to the first time you listened. Reviewing your webinars makes a drastic improvement to the effectiveness of your implementation of any specialized Internet Marketing Webinar information.

Internet marketing webinars can open up a whole new world for you and your business. You will save money on costly seminars, completely eliminating travel time, and connecting with countless people to market your products and services.

Internet marketing webinars are DEFINITELY worth your time!

Start Internet Marketing to Make Money Online

A couple of years ago I decided that I was going to start Internet marketing to make money online. I figured that there had to be a way to earn or make money online so I began my long journey and discovered that not only was there a way I could actually do it.

The first year was quite difficult because I went in blind and groped around in the dark searching for any little bit of light that I could find. Unfortunately I kept running into hazards called e-books that only gave enough information to demand that I buy the follow-up so that I could see clearly. The problem was that I knew that there was a way to make money using the Internet so I was not going to give up.

After that first year of trial and error I actually made a few dollars online if you don’t tack on and add up all the e-books that I bought. But I sold enough to just keep my appetite alive and well. Finally, and I cannot remember how, I ended up on a sales page for a membership site for affiliate marketing. My first thought was “Great, just some more want to be marketer selling some over used crap to make a buck.” Boy was I wrong and I am so glad that I did not click away but continued to read the materials which were very well laid out.

Well to make a long story short, I ended up joining for what I thought would be one month of quick learning and on to the next whiz kid. Low and behold I am still a member and have learned more form this site than every one of the e-books that I had purchased over the year before. I have actually been a member of this site since February 2008 and would not let my membership lapse for nothing. I am succeeding along with hundreds of others and all I did to start Internet marketing to make money online was to join, learn and apply what I learned.

PPC Conversion Tracking For Affiliates

Pay per click advertising is a strategy for generating traffic which all affiliates aspire to master. Unfortunately for about ninety-five percent of them, mastery is something that will forever remain out of reach. Of the remaining five percent who do manage to profit from their campaigns, an understanding of conversion tracking is almost always the reason for their success.

So what exactly is conversion tracking?

It is the process of following the clicks, literally, to determine which campaigns are generating more revenue in affiliate commissions than the fees being paid out for the traffic being sent to that campaign. Ideally you want to be making at least twice in commissions what you are paying for the traffic, since this will net you a one hundred percent return on investment.

In order to assist affiliates in this enterprise, the affiliate networks allow affiliates to send along a tracking sub ID in their affiliate URLs. For example, if you are a ClickBank affiliate you will be familiar with the idea that you can add a TID variable to your affiliate URL. Many affiliates use this form of tracking to see which non-PPC traffic sources are generating sales. For example, links on their Squidoo pages might carry a tid=squidoo assignment in the affiliate link.

But zero-cost affiliate marketing techniques usually get affiliates only so far. Getting to the next level generally requires some form of paid traffic strategy. At this point it becomes extremely important to know which campaigns are generating sales, and which are simply wasting your money.

Usually it occurs to affiliates who have some appreciation of conversion tracking that they can track campaigns by attaching unique affiliate URLs to every keyword used to power an ad group. Often integer values are used for the tracking sub IDs and these are later matched up with keywords when the commission reports are made available by the affiliate networks. The only problem is that this can represent a LOT of work. Especially if you run campaigns that carry thousands of keywords.

So what is the answer?

Clearly some form of automation is called for. At this point affiliates look around for software that might be able to do the job for them. Unfortunately, there are not a whole lot of choices available. At least, not inexpensive ones. But there is one solution that implements a form of tracking that I can recommend. I think it will interest all affiliates hoping to take their pay per click efforts to the next level.

Every year super affiliate Jeremy Palmer spends hundreds of thousands of dollars paying for traffic from Google AdWords, Yahoo Search Marketing, and MicroSoft AdCenter. But not until he developed his own PPC conversion tracking solution did he see his profits really start to soar. He has now released his software under the name Optimize My Site.

Affiliate marketing is an easy way to make a buck. No product of your own to worry about and no customer service headaches. Just promote the product and collect. And the easiest way to promote is through PPC. Or is it? Well, because of new rules, this may not be the case any longer. There are things you need to be aware of that could make the difference between success and failure.

In the old days of affiliate marketing, you could send a person directly to a merchant’s sales page. However, because of people complaining about seeing the same page over and over with every ad they clicked, Google made changes saying that only one URL for the same site would be shown at one time. So affiliate marketers who wanted to show their product had to create their own landing page on their own domain. Where the problems popped up was in designing these pages in order to convert well.

Well, there is an easy and quick way to do this so that your pages are effective. It all goes back to the keywords that you choose to promote the product and the actual ad that you’ve written to get people to the landing page. See, people who are looking for specific things have their mind a rather myopic state. If they’re looking for “ways to build a dog house” then that’s what they want to see in your ad and ultimately what they want to see on your landing page somewhere, preferably in the headline. This way, they make the connection all the way through.

Think about it logically. If they’re looking for ways to build a dog house and get to your landing page and don’t see anything that reassures them that they are in the right place, they’re just going to leave. So you have to make it perfectly clear that they are in the right place. This means having a relevant headline, review of the product, maybe even some photos. Think about what YOU would want to see if you were looking for a product. Yes, if more marketers would just think like consumers, we’d have more successful people in this business.

So if you’re going to promote affiliate products using PPC, make sure you have a relevant ad and a solid landing page.

The sales will follow.

When I first heard about Affiliate Payload, the first thing that came across my mind is “oh no! not another PPC Google assassin rehashed junk!”. But since this is from Alex Goad; I’ve purchased many of his products before and I know he always has some innovative and ingenious money-making tricks up his sleeve. So, I bought and read it.

And here is my review of Affiliate Payload…

Like the title of this article suggests, this is not another PPC or Google killer stuffs. The manual does cover how to use AdWords and other PPC systems to drive targeted traffic but it’s used as a way of testing and finding the profitable keywords. This part is very important because the key to PPC success is to buy profitable yet cost-effective keywords. That’s all about PPC covered in Affiliate Payload. If you want to learn how to use AdWords or PPC, this is not for you.

The main focus of Affiliate Payload is about marketing CPA offers. CPA is Cost Per Action or also known as Pay Per Action. These are offers from companies where you’ll get paid if you send someone to provide his/her name, email address and zip code for them.

Now, to earn money, you need to drive traffic to those sites that have CPA offers. The Affiliate Payload will you the best CPA network list and teach you how to drive targeted traffic to those sites. Besides using PPC for testing, Affiliate Payload also teaches you how to generate lots of FREE traffic.

I’ve never focused my effort on CPA before; but after reading Affiliate Payload, I’ve now got another avenue to create additional income stream online. The CPA Network List is invaluable; you don’t have to waste time hunting for profitable CPA offers, all are provided for you. This will save you lots of time.

Another part I appreciate is the Mindmaps; this comes in a separate pdf file. It breaks down the entire system using flowcharts and diagrams. Make sure you print out the Mindmaps so that you can see clearly how the methods interconnect and work together.

Another new money-making technique I learn from Affiliate Payload is the “Event Hijack Method”. This is an invaluable method you should add in your money-making arsenal; it teaches you how to profit from news headlines and trends in CPA offers. Hint: think Olympics…

So, as you can see, Affiliate Payload is not another PPC or Google killer hype or rehashed materials. In fact, making money from CPA offers makes sense because it’s a lot easier to convince people to take action by giving their names or email addresses rather than asking them to buy something. Don’t you agree?

On the whole, I think Alex Goad doesn’t disappoint me with Affiliate Payload. I do learn lots of new money-making skills which I can use to build additional income streams online. This review is not an endorsement of the product but I do strongly feel that it could serve to teach people how to earn extra incomes.

How To Litmus Test Your Website’s SEO Campaign?

It’s well known by advertisers that even a small change can have big results with prospects. This is the reason that most advertisers feel the need to test various advertising platforms and packages, but of course one of the big concerns with this type of testing is finding a cost efficient way of doing it.

This dilemma becomes especially important for those advertisers relying heavily on a Search Engine Optimization (SEO) marketing campaign. They need a tried and true method when deciding what keywords and/or key phrases actually work and which ones need that little extra tweak to increase page ranking and by proxy sales.

Luckily for such cases there is such a litmus test and it’s called Pay Per Click (PPC). Experts all agree that PPC is an excellent way to test your advertising campaign in several different ways.

First off, with PPC testing the target audience is large enough that you are ensured of accurate results because you can increase and decrease the test size as needed. Usually 30 clicks is the least amount of clicks you need to see if this keyword or key phrase is converting better for you.

The size of the test audience ensures that any results you get can be counted on and not just considered some kind of regional fluke. As well, the reactions of the prospective customers are easy to track with the PPC system. Using it as your benchmark for any particular keyword or key phrase that you hope might make a difference in your SEO marketing campaign, within only hours you’re able to see either increases or decreases in the click through rates which tell you how a particular ad is doing.

As a corollary to that notion, the PPC system is highly flexible. You can come up with and try new ideas almost instantly, and see very quickly what ideas are working and which ones aren’t. This of course becomes essential as you try out new keywords. With PPC there’s no need to look beyond your own screen to evaluate what is working and what doesn’t in the realm of search engine optimized content.

And the experts suggest that PPC testing is very effective but time consuming as well. They stress that the person hoping to get the most from this marketing tool needs to spend the time to monitor it to make sure it works. They suggest the best results are obtained by a constant tweaking process, and that if you’d don’t have the time to spend monitoring its progress, it might be best to try another form of advertising.

Also keep in mind that high clicks doesn’t ensure high conversion. Track you ad clicks all the way to conversion (actual sale). So if 30 people clicked on Ad for Keyword Phrase 1 and 2 converted to a customer then this is better then if 60 people clicked on Keyword Phrase 2 and only one of them bought. Always remember your goal is minimum CTR expense and maximum profit per visitor. Ultimately the only way you’ll be able to beat your competitor is to make each visitor to your website worth more which will allow you to spend more then your competitors for each customer.

CPA offers can be promoted using several innovative & brain storming techniques. Seasoned Internet Marketers have been trying their best with these techniques to get the optimum out of any CPA campaign. Some of these promotional techniques are quite gray-hat, and may not be implemented by all marketer’s. But, several easy and effective promotional techniques can also do the trick for you. In fact, one needs to choose the right technique at the right moment for great results.

Forum posting is undoubtedly one of the easy yet powerful ways to promote your CPA offers. First of all, you need to search extensively for relevant forums related to your product or service. Never forget to check out the rules and regulations of every single forum before signing up with it. You should be allowed to include the promotional link at the end of your post. So, it would be a waste of your precious time & energy if a forum does not allow you to place your website link at the end of each post. Fortunately, most of these forum sites allow you to place your website link or promotional URL at the end of your post. So, simply link the forum page to a landing page. You will then need to develop a top quality landing page as well, in order to convert the visitors in to buyers, that part is very important Covert Visitors Into Buyers remember that I will mention it in another article later on.

Forum promotion is a proven way to promote your product or service. But, do not take it to easily. You will not start getting loads of customers right away continually posting the same message in a forum. It is indeed pure SPAM, and will get you nowhere fast. So, what to do? You need to establish your identity as a reliable forum member from the very beginning. You need to write genuine post with useful information with an aim to help fellow forum members. You should be actively engaged in forum conversation with quality posts & answers. So, an in depth knowledge on the discussed topic will definitely help you increasing your credibility.

Gradually, people will find your posts & comments quite useful. Sooner or later, they will be inspired to click the given link posted by you. They will be keen to learn more from you, provided they are really satisfied with your posts. Indeed, you will be able to build a healthy working relationship with fellow forum members, in the long run. At the same time, money making will be quite easier for your website. Forum links are considered to be one of the best ways to bring in real, targeted traffic to any website. So, you have much brighter prospects to get potential customers from forum promotion.

Yahoo answers are another easy way to promote your link. There are more sites like Yahoo where people ask questions on several issues. You need to find out the questions related to your product or service. There may be some questions directly related to the CPA offers, you are promoting at the present moment. You should answer their questions with logical explanation and provide the promotional URL at the end of your answer. But, never be engaged in any kind of SPAMMING by overdoing it. You should be very careful about that and always be ethical while promoting in this way.

List building is another great idea to promote your CPA offers. You need to build a list only targeting a niche area. But the niche should be a popular one with lots of well reputed and the latest CPA offers. So, search for a while before zeroing on a particular niche. You should be fully aware of the present market trend and increasing demand of the people. Always choose a niche having a high demand amongst searchers at the present moment. If you have a first hand experience about a particular niche, you may consider this particular niche to start off with your CPA campaign. Your real life experience will come quite handy while considering the pros and cons of the product, and you can promote them accordingly.

There are several conventional techniques available for developing an opt- in list under a particular niche. You may consider giving away free report on a specific topic to increase your opt in subscribers. Later, you should e-mail the subscribers with the latest CPA offers they might be interested in. In most cases, you will notice lots of people taking sharp interest on free or low cost CPA offers, or offers with huge rate of discount. You should maintain an excellent communication with your opt in subscribers in order to explore the benefit of your list building efforts. You are sure to make steady money out of this effort. So, pay due care and attention to list building and Email marketing. You may even consider taking a professional help to initiate the process.

All of these above mentioned ideas would definitely help you to start off with your CPA ventures. With a analytical mindset & logical approach, you will easily become an expert in CPA marketing field in the course of time. Just stick to these basic suggestions and use your innovative ability to enhance the income potential using CPA offers.

Why do Internet marketers complicate things? Do you have any idea how many books have come out on pay per click advertising? Too many. And the thing that bugs me about all these books is that they all say the same thing. Sure, there are some twists to ad writing that each one covers, but for the most part, the stuff is all the same and it’s getting to be a joke. Tell me I’m wrong. Tell me you’ve gotten two different PPC books and they were totally different. They can’t be. The reason is because PPC is what it is. Well, in this article I’m going to make PPC advertising EZ so you can throw away all your books.

Okay, step one. Do your keyword research. Make sure the keywords you’re using are targeted to people who are actually buyers. For example, let’s say you’re selling a natural acne cure. Using the keyword acne is stupid. Why? Because you don’t know what that person is looking for. They could be simply looking for a definition of acne. But if you use a keyword phrase like “natural acne cure” or “natural acne treatment” you can bet that these people are looking for ways to treat their acne. Oh, and stay away from the word free. These people are looking for free solutions.

Step two is writing your ad. Look, you only get three lines here so you have to make them count. The best way to do this is by making each line serve a specific function. Let’s take the example above. Since you’re advertising a natural acne cure or treatment, that’s what your first line should be, the actual phrase. So you would start with “Natural Acne Cure” or “Natural Acne Treatment”. Then you want to point out the main benefit such as “Cures Your Acne In 3 Days”. Then you want your call to action or guarantee. Either one will work. Short, to the point and tells the prospect what he needs to know.

Finally, there is your daily budget. You want to start off small to see if your campaign is going to be profitable. Once you see that the campaign is converting at a decent percentage, then you can begin to increase your daily budget.

Naturally, there are other things such as cost per click and demographics, but for the most part, pay per click advertising is not hard. At least it’s not nearly as hard as people make it out to be.

To YOUR Success,

Steven Wagenheim

This is the second part of my 2-part AIDA formula to increase the conversion rates of your affiliate marketing. If you haven’t already read the first part, I strongly suggest you do since only by doing so, you will have a complete comprehension of this article. More importantly, all the four elements combine to increase your overall conversion rates.

Nevertheless, I have showed you how to generate Attention as well as to create and hold Interest in the first part of my article. Today, I will continue where I have left off and proceed to the next parts of the AIDA formula which is Desire and Action.

Desire

After successfully generation the Attention through the necessary channels and strategies as well as successfully creating and holding your prospects’ Interest,  you will now need to know how to create the desire so that they will want to make a purchase.

How do you make the connection between the problem that your prospects have with the solution you have? How do you make the connection between the need that your prospects have and your ability to fulfill it? This is where you will play with their emotions and by no means is this a bad thing. Create the desire by bringing in testimonials and positive reviews. It also pays if you truly understand your niche target audience. For that matter, take the time to conduct some research to learn how you are able to pull on their emotions.

Action

This is what matters most in any marketing formula. The last part of the AIDA formula will result in your prospects taking the necessary action. The AIDA formula ultimately will result in the sale of your marketing products in this case. Do bear in mind that the AIDA formula can be applied to everything and not limited to products and services only. For example, even if your intention is to build an email list, the process is the same. You will need to get them from the attention stage to taking the final action which is to sign up for your newsletter and such.

At the end of everything, it is the call of action that matters. Learning to understand this well will result in a higher conversion rate for your affiliate marketing and as a result, more sales and commission for you.
