The difference between ordinary affiliates and super affiliates isn’t with the effort that they put into the job. There are no magic affiliate schemes that work well for every situation or product either. Super affiliates do better with the same amount of effort and the same kinds of affiliate schemes because they have a better game plan.

If you’re a martial artist, you can compare these affiliate marketing “game plans” with combination moves. Only, instead of strikes, you go calmly about testing, converting, and altering, according to what’s most profitable.

It’s more than a mere slight of hand

You can’t be a super affiliate overnight—it’s crazy. If you think you’re converting 20% of your visitors into subscribers, then be happy, and work your way up farther. You can do this by constantly taking notes about your conversion results. Keep track of all your affiliate marketing tools by testing them out on an average do about 300 visitors.

If they’re converting any lower than 20%, get rid of them. They’re not doing you much as tools and you’re probably wasting your hard earned money on these stagnant investments.  Although 20% is a decent conversion rate, you shouldn’t stop at this. Once you’ve found the perfect combination for your affiliate marketing efforts, and your opt-in pages are converting 40% of your visitors into subscribers on a regular basis, you can rest easy and work on a new client.

One at a time

If you’re a beginner affiliate, you should stick to one project at a time. This will keep you from getting bankrupt. Most beginner affiliates become too excitable. When they see their pay-per-click venues generating money in a week’s time, they invest in more. This is a bad idea, because what you should be focusing on is the movement of your first operation. Concentrate on your first project first and learn from its ups and downs. You should only move on to a new affiliate project once you’re sure that the first one’s generating profits automatically.
