Bum marketing was coined not too long ago, to describe marketing methods that use no money. Market campaigning on a shoestring budget, at least.

Making money, as an affiliate marketer, without having any money to spend, can be done, and is being done; a lot more than most people are aware of. This is straight forward, honest, without scamming, or pulling a rabbit from your browser, to distract the customer, while you pick his, or her pocket.

One of the topics I will cover today is, “niche” marketing. Rule number one of, “Bum Marketing” 101; find yourself a good niche market.

As a bum marketer, you cannot afford to pay Google a lot of money for keywords, to get on their first page. If you want first page on Google, then you will have to work for it. Find a product, that has a market, that is not being addressed. Find that niche, that hole, where the competition is low and there is a market for the product.

For example: there are a lot of people that silently suffer and are embarrassed because they sweat a lot. Heavy sweating is a medical condition, but also a general condition that many people lose control over. They try to cover this up by wearing dark clothing. Light and loose clothing. Using antiperspirants and staying away from the dance floor.

I went to Clickbank and found a product, “How To Stop Heavy Sweating In Less Than 2 Weeks.” This product is on the “hot new products” list and moving up. I know this because I went into Wealthy Affiliates and used their Clickbank tool, to see what was selling, and what wasn’t.

From here, I researched “heavy sweating”, “over perspiration”, etc. in Google’s search engine. I found this topic to be a niche market, something ready for a bum market.

The next step would be for someone to affiliate themselves with the product and market it by article writing, writing about it in topical forum listings, etc.

There are several products on the market for sale, that deal with finding the niche markets. You do not need to buy any lists, or ezines that have niche markets, or products. You can do this yourself, for free.

Your money would be better spent, being taught how to, instead of someone doing this for you. Then you would simply, know how to market.

Finding a niche to any market is not hard. Take pets. Many different pets. Narrow it down to dogs, Still, a lot of dogs. Narrow this down to breed of dogs. Now you are onto something. What breed of dog is hot right now? Let’s narrow this one down too. What breed of dog is hot right now, with women? Find this out and you have something to market that will make you some cold, hard cash!

I have another tip for you. Do not spend time, bum marketing something you are not familiar with and do not care about. It will turn into a hard sell for you to market.

I have been a member of Google AdSense for a while now and almost daily I hear the the question from other website owners “I have Google AdSense but I’m not getting very many clicks, what should I do?” Well I’m tired of answering these questions individually so I’ve decided to make a guide on how to utilize Google AdSense to get the best results.
1. Strategically place your ads
I have done many, many experiments with my AdSense and have figured out what the best place for my AdSense is. I have had the most success using two types of ad placement. The next successful ad placement is a horizontal banner in-between the content of your page. Note: These ad placements work best for “ME”, and I am still experimenting to make sure I get the most of my AdSense. That being said, I recommend you perform numerous experiments every week to see what works best for you.
2. Don’t have to many ads on a page
I see websites all the time that have pages with 75% ads and 25% content. This is a bad strategy because people will not only think your website is spam, but your Google AdSense will not always be relevant to your page content. If you have 200 words on a page and have three AdSense scripts usually only one of them is relevant to your page content because their just isn’t enough information on the page for Google to read and decide what ads should be on your page. This is how I decide how many AdSense scripts I should have on a page.
You should only have 3 AdSense (which is the maximum allowed by Google TOS) on your page if your page is very popular and receiving many page views a day.
3. Search Engine Optimization
Now this isn’t specifically about getting more clicks with AdSense but it is still very important in making money through Google. 4. Get your website more trafficThere are more ways than just SEO to get your website more traffic. For example; you can purchase traffic through available online services, you can participate in traffic exchange programs, and you can sign up in a banner exchange program. SEO is the most effective, but when you are starting out you should take traffic from anywhere you can get it.
Lastly I would just like to say, don’t expect to make a lot of money from your website when you first start out. for more details www.thegoogleincome.com True, there are many people out there who make over 1000 dollars a month from their AdSense alone, but they have spent a lot of time experimenting and promoting their websites. When you first start out expect to maybe get one click a day which can pay between .05 and .50 cents depending on what topic you chose for your website. Don’t let this deter you, rather let it inspire you because now you know that it is possible to make some decent extra income from your websites.

So whilst these kind of earnings are a reality, to make this kind of money you need to ask yourself the following questions;

How much do you want to make from AdSense? How hard are you willing to work to achieve this? How much time are you willing to spend working the Google AdSense program?

If you can honestly answer “whatever it takes” or something to that effect & you are willing to commit yourself to working towards that monthly AdSense earning figure then you may have a chance of actually achieving it.

So How Can You Make $10,000 From AdSense?

Well here a two ways to do it;

Put up 1,000 sites that each make $10 a month
or… Put up 1 site that makes $10,000 a month

Seriously though you would need more than just 1 website but certainly not as many as 1,000 – that would just be too difficult to manage & maintain.

Factors That May Influence Your AdSense Revenue

Topic & Number of Sites

Start with a few which have fairly popular topics such as photography or web design where you can be assured of enough demand & advertisers for Google to serve up AdSense ads on your sites.

A topic for which there is little or no demand will not have enough advertisers for Google to provide your site with AdSense ads.

Earnings Per Click

The higher your AdSense earnings per ad click the less clicks you will require to reach your revenue target.

Therefore ensure that your content is rich with high paying keywords so that you get AdSense ads that will produce higher earnings per click – sometimes just 1 click can generate as much as $5.00 whereas many clicks will only make $0.01c.

CTR (Click Through Rate)

The higher your CTR the higher your earnings for a particular number of site visitors.

Website Traffic

All other things being equal, more traffic will generate more revenue

Relevant Ads

If the ads Google serves up are not relevant to your site’s content your site visitors will be unlikely to click on them as they won’t be to do with what attracted them to your site.
