Pay Per Click (PPC) Archives

Everyone wants to make $300 a day or more with their AdWords campaigns.   You’ve started a few campaigns, spent a few dollars, and now you’re wondering – “where’s the payoff!”

There’s no secret to AdWords success.  Like anything, joining the big leagues of AdWords profits means you must put in the hours.  In this case, it’s hours of keyword work.

Extensive Keyword Research

There are literally thousands of keywords for every industry.  By advertising a thousand or more keywords you will greatly increase your chance of getting clicks at a cheaper rate.

Consider this:

Campaign A:  Your AdWords campaign has only 4 keywords.  These keywords are the most popular keywords for your industry.  The average CPC is $1.  These keywords get 6000 searches a day.  Your campaign is getting a 2% CTR which means your getting $120 clicks at a total cost of $120.

Campaign B:  You research and bid on 2000 keywords.  The average CPC is .10  These 2000 keywords also receive 6000 search queries a day.  Again using a 2% CTR, your campaign is delivering 120 visitors.  But instead of paying $120 as in Campaign A, you are only paying $12.

Obviously, Campaign B is the better performing campaign.  Campaign B is saving $108 a day, $3,600 a month and $43,200 per year.  The difference in ROI is staggering.

Remember, the difference between the two campaigns was in the keywords.  Campaign A had a few popular keywords.  Campaign B contained 2000 keywords.  The keywords in Campaign B are less popular, translating to a cheap CPC for you.

How To Find Keywords For Your PPC Campaigns

Now you know the importance of doing extensive keyword research before beginning an AdWords campaign.  But how do you come up with a long list of targetted keywords.  Here’s how:

The simplest and easiest method to come up with good keywords is to think long and hard.  “Yeah, that’ll get me 50 words” you say.”  Still need more keywords?  Try these tools;

1.  Google Keyword Generator
2.  WordTracker
3.  Overture Search Suggestion Tool
4.  Keyword Wrapper
5.  MyTrashMail Keyword Generator

Happy keyword hunting.  You can never have too many keywords.  Just remember with each keyword you are increasing your ROI.  And istn’t that what it’s all about?

5 Ways to Fail Your Google Pay-per-click Ads

Google’s pay-per-click (PPC) advertising product, AdWords, is the fastest way to advertise online. In fact, it’s one of the top advertising products currently available. While the program is simple, it does require some expertise to fully understand. Using AdWords without the right information can be a costly mistake.

1. Your Google ads will fail if you put all the related keywords in one list.

A main goal for anyone using AdWords is to reach significant searchers and gain more Web site traffic. One mistake that many advertisers make is developing a long list of combinations of keywords without actually developing a few useful keywords.

Successful Google ads do not necessarily require a lengthy keyword list. When you create an AdWords campaign, try to avoid going “keywords crazy.” Using generic keywords can cause a campaign to fail. For example, someone searching for a “BMW 3 series” will not enter search terms such as “truck” or “car.” He or she will use an exact term.

Specifically defining the target market of a campaign will increase the success of that campaign. Moreover, combining the right keyword strategy with the right landing page is a key to success.

2. Your Google ads will fail if you have only one AdGroup.

Some advertisers not only place all keywords in a single list but they also put all keywords in one AdGroup. This is a mistake because it prevents advertisers from creating an advert that is relevant to the keywords. Even if an advertiser uses the dynamic keywords insertion (DKI), the keywords that are shown in the ad will not be 100% relevant to a searchers query.

In one AdGroup, more than one advert can be running, but only one advert from a single AdGroup will be shown at a time. Even though keywords are similar and an advertiser places them into the same AdGroup, every keyword can be searched by different types of searchers.

If an ad does not satisfy searchers queries, they will not click on it. Therefore, it is vital to place the right keywords in the right AdGroup. An AdGroup should show the correct ad and should be extremely relevant to the keywords.

3. Your Google ads will fail if you don’t include keywords in the ad text.

Some advertisers don’t put the keywords in the ad text. This is a mistake because it reduces the quality score . Additionally, the advertiser will have to pay Google more money for clicks because the ad text is not relevant. This will also deter people from reading the ad because it won’t display the highlighted keywords. Google automatically highlights the keywords that appear in search results.

Including keywords in the ad text will draw more attention to that advertisement. This is a clear advantage over ads that do not include keywords in the text.

While the addition of keywords to ad text is important, advertisers should be careful not to go overboard with this. It is important to only use one or two keywords in an advertisement because too many keywords can confuse searchers.

Finally, advertisers should try to include keywords in the display URL. For example, using an address such as “http://xxx.com/this-is-keyword” could be beneficial. The display keyword does not have to be a real path or destination on your Web site. Google automatically highlights the keywords that appear in the display URL.

4. Your Google ads will fail if you don’t have a converting landing page.

An advertising campaign will not be a success if the wrong landing page is in place. Many advertisers make this mistake, directing searchers from AdWords to their homepages rather than to pages related to the searchers’ queries.

Searchers should be directed to the correct landing page that is related to their search, not to a homepage. The landing page should be optimized for the correct keywords and searchers. Providing searchers with exactly what they want on a landing page will likely lead them to purchase the products that they are seeking. If a landing page speaks directly to a searcher’s question, he or she will be more likely to spend money.

5. Your Google ads will fail if you’re not correctly tracking your AdWords campaign.

How can an advertiser know which keywords are producing money? Correctly tracking a campaign can reveal this information. One way to do this is to learn to use Google analytics. Carefully using this tool can save advertisers money. It offers information regarding searcher behaviors after they click on an AdWords advertisement. Adjusting a campaign based on this type of information can lead to greater success.

There is no need to pay Google for wrong or ineffective keywords. Even if some words seem relevant to a campaign, research can reveal that they are not bringing in revenues and that they should be removed.

Tracking competitors is another way to improve an AdWords campaign. Paying attention to the competition can be an important aspect of understanding what works in AdWords. Understanding how to research competitors is vital for advertisers using AdWords.

A successful AdWords campaign is about research, information, and improving the campaign accordingly. Avoiding these simple mistakes will help advertisers develop thriving campaigns.

With the world becoming a global village, especially on the Internet, companies are now competing fiercely with local as well as overseas firms. Against this backdrop, merely having a web presence is not enough. Internet advertising, which aims at increasing traffic on a website, is the need of the hour. One of the most powerful Internet marketing tools that enables companies to target their advertisements at people searching for related products and services is pay per click (PPC). With pay per click services, an organization needs to pay only for the number of clicks its advertisement receives, rather than the time for which its advertisement is displayed on the search page.

There are several PPC service providers that help organizations advertise on the results pages of various search engines, such as Google, MSN and Yahoo, and other content network websites relevant to the company’s business.

Benefits of Pay Per Click Services
Pay per click services are preferred by several organizations over other Internet marketing strategies. PPC services help organizations:

1. Target web surfers interested in their products or services. With the help of highly targeted advertising, companies receive traffic that is specifically searching for the products and services they offer. This helps organizations improve their conversion rates and sales.

2. Achieve results immediately. Since search engines prioritize PPC advertisements, organizations can see an immediate impact on their site’s visibility and traffic.

3. Have complete control on their advertising costs. With the flexibility offered by pay per click services, organizations can modify their PPC budget according to their preference on a daily basis. This helps companies remain within their marketing budget.

4. Target specific geographic regions. With the help of PPC advertising, organizations can target regions where there is potential for growth. For example, it is possible to manage a company’s PPC ads such that they are displayed only when a visitor from a specific area searches for the specific products or services. PPC advertising helps companies tap growth areas and increase the website’s visibility and popularity.

5. Gain a competitive edge. Pay per click services help companies compete and gain premium positions in search engines.

6. Track the success of the PPC ad. When companies hire a PPC service provider, they receive a PPC account. This account reflects which keywords are driving the maximum traffic to a company’s website, helping the firm optimize its PPC account and adjust its PPC budget for maximum impact.

With stiffening competition and the growing popularity of Internet marketing, there are very few businesses that can afford to ignore the use of pay per click services. eBrandz is a professionally managed company that helps organizations maximize the benefits of pay per click services.

Successful PPC Campaign

Having an attractive and beautiful website does not always serve the purpose. A company owner must have to work upon on other aspects to get a good visibility and generate huge traffic towards the website. Improving the site ranking and rating in a short time is what every site owner desires. There are so many web site strategies that can be workable if proper ways are to be followed.

PPC is more of an advertising system for your website or small business. No matter, if you are indulging in selling of a product or active in dealing into services of any nature, you will need to make sure that people have the opportunity to click on it. PPC, or pay-per-click, offers a web user to click that. In this system, a website owner or company owner pays a search engine to register your site and keywords relating to your site. In case, people look for those exact keywords or Key phrases, which are related with your website, your site pops up. You only pay when someone clicks on your link.

How to Make PPC Workable for Your Website

It is always advised to know the objectives clearly before applying the PPC services as in this system, conversions and clicks play the vital role. A click is simply checking the offerings of a website; it may not be turned into a lead. Conversion, on the other hand, is all about turning potential into practical. It can be defined as the result of anything from a sale, a request for a brochure, a phone call, a download and much more.

The success of PPC is entirely depends upon the clicks. Clicks play an integral part of a company’s brand promotion exercise. They produce the end goal for a company, making PPC campaign truly imperative in today’s marketing scenario.

Tools and Tips for Clickbank Affiliates

If you are involved in internet marketing or affiliate marketing in any way shape or form you will have heard of Clickbank, the largest online retailer of digital information and software products on the web today.

You will probably also have read many tales of Clickbank affiliates making huge sums of money from promoting those products to others and in many cases these success stories are true. The most common method employed by these big earners is pay per click advertising with Google Adwords or one of its rival PPC companies. Indeed, many of these successful Clickbank entrepreneurs have gone on to make even more money by selling their systems and methodologies to other hopeful clickbank affiliates.

The fact remains however, that the majority of Clickbank affiliates, particularly those new to the world of affiliate marketing, are unlikely to see such spectacular results as these super affiliates. That is not to say that beginners should avoid Clickbank. Indeed, there are many good reasons to promote their products and over 100,000 marketers continue to actively promote and sell software, memberships and ebooks from their marketplace.

With most merchants offering commissions between 50 and 75 per cent, acting as a Clickbank affiliate can be a profitable undertaking for many, but it is perhaps a little too optimistic to believe that you will become rich overnight by doing so.

There are many good services that have sprung up to try and help affiliates to make more sales and some are quite ingenious. You can find both free and paid services designed specifically to help people make some money with Clickbank without the benefit of costly PPC campaigns or a huge mailing list.

If you are trying to make money online with Clickbank, these can be a great boost to your chances of making sales although as with anything of this nature there can be no guarantees and for those who are dead set against spending any money on marketing and advertising, the odds are always going to be against you.

If you are just looking to make some decent additional income however, Clickbank makes it simple to get started as an affiliate. It’s just a matter of signing up and getting a Clickbank ID and then finding the product or products you wish to promote. With a marketplace as full as Clickbank’s however, that can be a daunting task in its own right. There are currently around 10,000 products and services on offer, covering a huge range of subjects. Try selling the wrong thing, or the wrong thing to the wrong audience and you will struggle.

Some third party services, in an attempt to overcome this, have come up with Clickbank Storefronts allowing web users to search and explore through the vast inventory to find the things they are looking for. There are also services providing contextual advertising tools enabling website owners and bloggers to place text and image ads on their pages as well as search boxes and portals. Some of these are available free to Clickbank users and others require payment of a fee.

How you decide to proceed as an affiliate will depend greatly on your chosen niche, your available budget, whether you have your own site(s) or blogs and your level of experience. It is easy to become a Clickbank affiliate but perhaps not quite as easy to be wildly successful at it. With a little determination and a limited budget, there is no reason why you cannot make money. So, before rushing into an ill advised or poorly planned Google Adwords campaign, you may want to try some of these alternative methods and services first.

Once you have done your research, the important thing is to take action. You can always learn as you go along, try a few things and see what works and what doesn’t. Eventually you may have the confidence to try PPC advertising, but if you are still right at the beginning of your learning curve you may want to begin with some less risky methods first.

As one of over 100,000 affiliates you may think there is little room for you, but with millions of internet users, you are still in a small minority and there is a huge market out there just waitng for you to tap into. If you have no idea what to promote, you may want to try placing Clickbank Ads on your websites, targeted to the interests of your reader demographic. There are paid services that can do this for you, but there are some good free ones too.

Also, consider products that pay recurring monthly commissions. There are many of these in the Clickbank Marketplace and commission structures on things like membership sites are often sold on the basis of monthly fees, a slice of which goes to the happy affiliate every month. Sell once, get paid over and over. the attraction is obvious, but if you target the wrong people with the wrong offers, just because the service pays recurring commissions, you will undoubtedly see little reward. If there is a relevant one for your audience however, they can be very lucrative.

If you have a list to market to, you are already ahead of most CB affiliates, but if you don’t there is no need to lose heart. At the foot of this article you will find a link to a brand new viral report which you can start to use immediately to improve the Clickbank odds in your favor. No matter what your level of experience or your success to date, there is plenty of information and assistance out there if you care to look for it. Despite the warnings of many to steer clear of Clickbank, it is still one of the most widely supported and best paying places online to work as an affiliate. My recommendation; don’t be afraid to try it, you really have nothing to lose.

Smart Tips for Managing PPC Programs

Smart Tips for Managing PPC Programs

Pay per click programs are highly effective way to get instant traffic on your website. This is a good tool to attract quality and highly targeted traffic. The bids normally start from 0.05 cents which is quite good as you can get a good number of visitors by spending a little amount. Even if bid is 0.10 cents, you can get 10 visitors by paying $1.

Smart Tips for Managing PPC programs

·          Identify the set of keywords which clearly defines the services / products you offer. This clearly means that you need to remove unnecessary keywords which might be related to your category but can not generate quality traffic to your website.

·          Focus on product/service which you wish to sell. Remember, its selling service and you have to be specific in PPC approach. You can not have your whole catalogue on your single campaign.

·          Take bottom up approach for bid management. Start with a certain minimum value and the scale up the campaigns on a day to day basis till you arrive at an optimum level where your goals are met.(optimal combination of your budget / CPA / Bid / position)

·          Come up with a precise ad copy. Include text in the campaign which clearly states about the service / product you are promoting in the ad campaign. If possible, try to include pricing in the ad copy if you are selling any product. This will increase the CTR (Click Through Ratio) if your pricing is competitive.

·          Setup the campaign and bid on maximum relevant keywords possible. This will increase the possibility of clicks.

·          Track you campaign: This is the most important step. You need to place tracking to track the ROI (Return On Investments). You need to restrict your CPA (Cost Per Acquisition). Big programs like adwords/overture can generate huge volumes and your money can vanish in a day. So you need to track your returns, and this is the only way by which you can know whether its working out for you or not.

·          Keep tweaking the campaigns in terms if bids and ad copy by looking at the reports. An attractive ad copy can increase the chances of getting clicks.

·          Do not rush for position #1. Settle for positions 4/5/6 as bids will be lower and visibility will also be OK. This will lower your CPA (Cost Per Acquisition) and increase ROI (Return On Investments). If you try the above points, you can expect improvements in your ROI (Return On Investments) and in the long run, constant bid management can get you sustained success in managing PPC programs.

YOU are missing out…!

In the 1990s & the early 2000s, a lot of online businesses invested heavily in search engine optimization to drive traffic to their sites. And it worked…SEO is still a very effective strategy to this day…in fact, SEO should be a main component in your overall marketing mix…Besides, the price can’t be beat…After the time it takes to set it up, natural search engine traffic itself is FREE…

However, focusing ONLY on SEO is a mistake in some markets because you may be missing out on other additional profitable sources of traffic…and one of them is pay per click advertising (PPC ads are the little text ads you see lined up on the right hand of the search engine results).

So, what’s the difference between SEO & PPC traffic & which one is better?

Take a look:

1. Guaranteed Traffic.

A. Pay per click traffic is virtually guaranteed…While you should make sure that your bid amounts actually are profitable for you, you CAN almost count on generating traffic if you bid high enough…

B. In contrast, natural traffic is free but it can disappear at any time. You are guaranteed nothing…Anyone who was around during the big “Florida” update a few years ago can tell you that. Search engines constantly change their algorithms & when they do, you can see a lot of your traffic go up in smoke.

2. Fast vs. Slow.

A. PPC traffic starts IMMEDIATELY…If there are enough searchs & your bid is high enough, your traffic starts within a matter of hours in many cases…

B. However, natural search engine traffic takes time to develop. While natural search engine traffic is great because it’s free, it’s not immediate…Search engines seem to index content every 30 to 60 days & it can take that long or longer to see real results…

3. The Learning Curve.

A. Pay Per Click is slightly easier to learn & manage than SEO (though it’s still pretty tricky). It takes time to learn the PPC advertising systems, but you can at least figure out some of the concepts in less than a month…

B. In contrast, search engine optimization really is a “game” that should be left to professionals these days. There are people who’ve been doing SEO for 12+ years now & there is a very good reason why it’ll cost you $10,000 to get a professional optimization done. There is an entire science to optimizing & maintaining a site…It takes years to learn SEO & it takes even longer to become at proficient at it…

Theoretically, both of these techniques should help you reach the same target market & combining these tactics can be an EXTREMELY effective way of driving traffic. While some people have sites that get 100% of their visitors from links & free search engine traffic, a mix of sources is optimal…

As mentioned above, Pay Per Click still requires a good deal of effort to master…So, here are a few things to experiment with in your PPC campaigns:

1. Get Attention & Drive Home a Benefit.

I read somewhere that we are now bombarded with something like 1500 advertising messages a day…therefore, your ads need to “break through the clutter” & get attention without being too “hypey.” After you’ve got attention, try communicating a powerful benefit that your target market will respond to. These classic advertising principals work very well in pay per click.

2. #12390 Numbers & $28.93 Prices.

Experiment with listing your price & numbers in your ad…Try listing a product number like “Model #73298,” the number you have in stock like “Only 148 left,” or the price itself like “$59.94.” This can help weed out tire kickers because anyone clicking on the ad will have already accepted that what you sell costs money. While this may lower your click through rate, hopefully only people who are farther along the “decision process” toward making a sale will be clicking the ads…

3. “Spying” For Profit.

One thing that can help lower PPC costs MASSIVELY is using other peoples’ data…Keywords that don’t convert or just plain cost too much can be huge cash drains (I speak from experience). While keyword research is a MASSIVE topic & it overlaps with discussions of buyer intentions & landing pages & a LOT more, you can benefit from spying on profitable campaigns by investing in 3rd party software tools…

Finally, try experimenting with a combination of these tactics & the TONS of other effective ones out there. Run split tests to see what your market really responds & get the technology that helps weed out unprofitable phrases even before you start…

Now, get going & start increasing your sales today…a world of profitable traffic awaits!

The most commonly utilized type of paid listings is called PPC (pay-per-click), this is where you pay each time someone or a person searching online, clicks on the link in your advertizement. The cost grows with the competitiveness of the keyword.

? No cost – natural results are listed founded on the search engine’s criterion of your relevancy and quality, not your advertizing bucks, so you do not pay a “fee” per click

? Acquire a lot of traffic – most people click the natural search results, not the paid advertizements

The step-by-step guidance in the tutorials and the homework assignment helps the student to come out with an effective targeted Google ad campaign upon completion of the course. What makes this really relevant to the network marketer is this course is specifically for the network marketer and provides keyword ideas that are not covered in any other course. I would highly recommend this for any network marketer who wants to kickstart their internet network marketing business. I would also recommend it to those network marketers who are building their internet network marketing business with social media and attraction marketing as those techniques take some time to generate traffic while a properly tweaked Google AdWords program can generate traffic almost immediately. The final version of the Pay Per Click Domination course is launching shortly (January 19, 2009) so make sure you keep an eye out for it.

When the internet first introduce paid traffic, people have been investing a lot of money. They know that by investing in this type of marketing, they are bound to get more money, thus gain financial freedom, if they do it the right way. When you learn and master the skills for PPC campaign, there is a very high chance for success that will eventually gain you more downlines and profits.

The problem is not many MLM marketers know about PPC and how PPC functions. They try to use Google Adwords, but because they never learn the skill, they are losing more than they earn. Do not join the race if you do not know the rules and regulations or else you will lose out.

To win the game, you need to be on top. There are a few tips that will guide you through setting up a PPC campaign that will guarantee you success:

1. Do a keyword research. This is compulsory. You don’t want to simply target ALL keywords but you find the most profitable keywords. There are many keywords you can target whether long or short keywords. For example the keywords can be “how to make money with MLM” or “Amway” or even “Nutrilite”.

2. It is a bad idea to pick keywords too short, too generic and too competitive. For example, “MLM” or “network marketing”. These keywords are being used by many competitors so it can be too expensive for you to gain more money. Only use these keywords when you are confident with your skills.

3. There is a maximum of 3 lines for you to create your winning campaign so make sure you write a powerful web copy. If possible put in the benefits of your products and capture some keywords in the headline and description. The headlines is highlighted in the results page so people can easily read it.

4. Google rewards excellent PPC ads and penalize bad PPC ads. The rule is simple, as long as you can get at least 2.5% CTR then, you can expect a lower CPC or Cost Per Click. If you do badly, you will have a higher CPC.

5. As always, doing a split test on your ad campaigns. To get a more accurate result, make sure you do not include the ads in Google Adsense. This way you will get results from the same ad field, that is based on Google search results. You will be able to identify which ad is doing excellently.
