What’s big on community? Squidoo of course! All things considered Squidoo is a community. One of the ways to enlist with this community is usually to join groups or start groups yourself. You can join groups that relate to your own topics. When there is none available, you might like to commence a group on that topic yourself.

If you’re endeavoring to sell a product or service you could instigate a group on the product itself, and then sell this product. On the other hand, this won’t be as effective as starting a group on the exact same topic that this product pertains to.

For example, for those who have a product that teaches people how to write articles say, it will be better to start a group that handles article writing skills, instead of a group that is only equipped to just sell the product that teaches the art of writing.

Inviting customers and potential customers, to join that group is a smart idea. If your group deals with penning articles, then you’ll know that anybody who is on Squidoo, could be considering joining this group. Not surprisingly they will be writing some kind of copy for their lenses.

It will likely be of great benefit to them, to master some new tricks and tips, about how to write effective content. It’s going to also become a group that will share information with one another about this topic. The most crucial aspect to the group though, is it needs to be interesting indeed.

Keep in mind that interesting pages, attract a far greater volume of that vital commodity, traffic! Increased interest in your group, means more quality members. The spin-off of course, is that you will receive more traffic to your lenses.

Always feature your groups that belong on your Squidoo lenses. This will likely bring more members to your groups. Consequently these new members may list the groups that they are members of on their lens. Which in turn can bring traffic back to your lens. You simply must spend some time in the group. Nobody will appreciate it if you set up a group and vanish from it. You will have to show leadership and encourage members to participate as well. You have got to be careful though. Such groups can consume more and more time if you permit that to happen. So put in a strict time limit clause guys.

Try to allocate a time based regime to the Squidoo groups. Also try to limit this time to only fifteen minutes or maximum half an hour, on a weekly basis. However always participate regularly. It’ll gather you more fans, and folks will start to discover your name and your community efforts. Because this will devour more of your time, be mindful not to join a lot of groups. You will need to spend quality time in your groups instead of wasting a large amount skipping through other groups. Keep uppermost in your thoughts that this social media is about community and participating.

Supporting and commenting on what people pen about, and they in turn will respond to you too. This does require time, and you should keep your participation in these groups to a sensible minimum, and therefore be capable of providing valuable input yourself.

It isn’t that simple to source lenses on your topics, since you can only easily see the topic groups in very broad categories. The way to circumvent this, is to locate and check lenses that are on your topic, or closely related themes, and find out what groups these lensmasters might belong to themselves Good luck guys!
