Google Adsense, for Quite Some Time

Google AdSense, for quite some time now, has become more and more difficult to earn a decent income with. The biggest change up until recently was the Ad words change of allowing for separate bids for search and content sites. like this www.adsense-dollar-factory.com .This made it so that the payouts per click for AdSense ads dropped considerably. And that would have been enough to turn AdSense into a ghost town alone, but Google hasn’t stopped there.
Just recently, Google has decided to crack down on these low rent arbitrage pages. If you don’t know what these are, a brief explanation is in order. These pages are basically set up with very poor or even non existent content simply for the purpose of redirecting traffic from one pay per click engine, such as Mica, to a page with Google AdSense ads, strictly for the purpose of earning money from the potential clicks off these ads. Have you seen some of these pages? The majority consist of one article, usually hijacked from another site, and a bunch of AdSense ads. Up until now, people have been making good money with these sites, especially after purchasing those “Made for AdSense” packages where you get like 100 sites to put up. Yeah, people were making a real killing. Well, those days are over.
Google has finally taken a long hard look at these crap pages and said “enough!” Any account they now find that is sporting these types of pages gets closed down, no questions asked and no chance of getting your account reopened. I know one guy personally who just lost a $200 a day business because of this latest change to the AdSense empire.
The truth is, this shouldn’t come as a surprise to anybody. Google has been cracking down on garbage sites in both the Ad words and AdSense arena for some time now. Their reasoning is simple. like as www.adsense-income-exposed.com.They want to give the user of the search engine a “good user experience,” whatever that means in their eyes. It doesn’t matter what we think, and I’ve heard all the arguments. If Google thinks we have a garbage site, expect to either have your Ad words account “Google Slapped” or find your AdSense account totally closed down.
For those of us who abide by Google’s rules, this makes it easier to earn an income with them. Why? Because there aren’t going to be as many people to have to compete with. Most will take the easy way out and put up crappy sites that won’t get them anywhere. So take this latest news as a chance to improve the quality of your sites and make more money in the long run.

Clicks With Google Adsense

I have been a member of Google AdSense for a while now and almost daily I hear the the question from other website owners “I have Google AdSense but I’m not getting very many clicks, what should I do?” Well I’m tired of answering these questions individually so I’ve decided to make a guide on how to utilize Google AdSense to get the best results.
1. Strategically place your ads
I have done many, many experiments with my AdSense and have figured out what the best place for my AdSense is. I have had the most success using two types of ad placement. The first is to place your AdSense in a vertical skyscraper to the left of your text. like as www.yourgoogleincome.com I can’t be absolutely sure why this works, but I believe it is because people read from right to left so every time they finish reading a line of my content their eyes instantly return to the left of the page and see the ads once again. The next successful ad placement is a horizontal banner in-between the content of your page. I believe this works for me because in order for people to continue reading the content of my page they have to look at the ads. Note: These ad placements work best for “ME”, and I am still experimenting to make sure I get the most of my AdSense. That being said, I recommend you perform numerous experiments every week to see what works best for you.
2. Don’t have to many ads on a page
I see websites all the time that have pages with 75% ads and 25% content. This is a bad strategy because people will not only think your website is spam, but your Google AdSense will not always be relevant to your page content. If you have 200 words on a page and have three AdSense scripts usually only one of them is relevant to your page content because their just isn’t enough information on the page for Google to read and decide what ads should be on your page. This is how I decide how many AdSense scripts I should have on a page.
You should only have 3 AdSense (which is the maximum allowed by Google TOS) on your page if your page is very popular and receiving many page views a day.
3. Search Engine Optimization
Now this isn’t specifically about getting more clicks with AdSense but it is still very important in making money through Google. If you want to learn about search engine optimization (SEO) you can read my guide at Search Engine Optimization. You can also try our free webmaster tools to help optimize your website at The PC Line Webmaster Tools
4. Get your website more trafficThere are more ways than just SEO to get your website more traffic. For example; you can purchase traffic through available online services, you can participate in traffic exchange programs, and you can sign up in a banner exchange program. SEO is the most effective, but when you are starting out you should take traffic from anywhere you can get it.
Lastly I would just like to say, don’t expect to make a lot of money from your website when you first start out. for more details www.thegoogleincome.com True, there are many people out there who make over 1000 dollars a month from their AdSense alone, but they have spent a lot of time experimenting and promoting their websites. When you first start out expect to maybe get one click a day which can pay between .05 and .50 cents depending on what topic you chose for your website. Only after months or even years can you expect to make over a hundred a month from AdSense. You have to spend time every day working and advertising your website if you want to be successful. Don’t let this deter you, rather let it inspire you because now you know that it is possible to make some decent extra income from your websites.

According to a poll done by Problogger a while ago most AdSense publishers, about 30%, make less than $10 a month whilst the second highest amount of AdSense sites (20%) earn up to $500 a month.

There are however around 5% who earn more than $10,000 a month from Google’s magic AdSense program.

This should give us AdSense publishers a lot of encouragement when you think that it is entirely possible to make $10,000 a month from AdSense as there are people making that kind of money every month.

So whilst these kind of earnings are a reality, to make this kind of money you need to ask yourself the following questions;

How much do you want to make from AdSense? How hard are you willing to work to achieve this? How much time are you willing to spend working the Google AdSense program?

If you can honestly answer “whatever it takes” or something to that effect & you are willing to commit yourself to working towards that monthly AdSense earning figure then you may have a chance of actually achieving it.

So How Can You Make $10,000 From AdSense?

Well here a two ways to do it;

Put up 1,000 sites that each make $10 a month
or… Put up 1 site that makes $10,000 a month

Seriously though you would need more than just 1 website but certainly not as many as 1,000 – that would just be too difficult to manage & maintain.

Factors That May Influence Your AdSense Revenue

Topic & Number of Sites

Start with a few which have fairly popular topics such as photography or web design where you can be assured of enough demand & advertisers for Google to serve up AdSense ads on your sites.

A topic for which there is little or no demand will not have enough advertisers for Google to provide your site with AdSense ads.

Earnings Per Click

The higher your AdSense earnings per ad click the less clicks you will require to reach your revenue target.

Therefore ensure that your content is rich with high paying keywords so that you get AdSense ads that will produce higher earnings per click – sometimes just 1 click can generate as much as $5.00 whereas many clicks will only make $0.01c.

CTR (Click Through Rate)

The higher your CTR the higher your earnings for a particular number of site visitors.

Website Traffic

All other things being equal, more traffic will generate more revenue

Relevant Ads

If the ads Google serves up are not relevant to your site’s content your site visitors will be unlikely to click on them as they won’t be to do with what attracted them to your site.

To sum up, the amount of money you make from AdSense = CTR + Traffic Volume + Ads with High Paying Keywords + Relevant Ads

$1 Million in Google Adsense Earnings

They are calling him the million dollar man. Jason Calacanis recently revealed in his blog that he is on track to earn a million dollars from

AdSense over the year ahead. And if that number doesn’t wake you up and have you sitting on the edge of your seat, consider for a moment that he reached this level in less than a year. His company only started using AdSense in September 2004.

Calacanis runs Weblogs Inc., a network dedicated to creating trade weblogs across niche industries. And he’s quickly proven that AdSense is a credible advertising partner.

As their network has grown, so has their AdSense revenue. In January 2005 they earned an average of $580 per day.

In March it was $737. In May it was $1,585. One day in July, just before he made the blog entry referred to above, they earned $2,335. Remember that is just for one day. If they can take that daily average to $2,740 they’ll be earning a rate of $1 million for a year. And Calacanis predicts that reaching daily earnings of $3,000 or even $5,000 is quite achievable.

That’s quite an achievement. Keep in mind that Calacanis has 103 bloggers on the payroll and nine staffers. Even so, many webmasters would give an arm or a leg to have even a third of that.

Google’s AdSense has been revolutionary. It has become firmly established as the darling of the online advertising industry. Although rumors are heard of major competitors launching a similar service, AdSense’s premier position seems

secure for now.

In essence, AdSense has made it possible for almost anyone with a web site or blog to earn some revenue from advertising, without having to employ sales people or spend precious time searching for advertisers.

AdSense works like this. Webmasters sign up for an account in just a few minutes. They receive a small snippet of code to include on their web pages. Google will then automatically serve advertisements that are relevant to the content on the webmaster’s pages. When someone visits the webmaster’s site and clicks on one of Google’s AdSense advertisements, the webmaster earns a fee. Advertisers can pay anywhere from five cents to a hundred dollars per click, and the webmaster receives a percentage of that fee.

Many webmasters are content with earning five to ten dollars from AdSense to cover the cost of web hosting. But many, unsurprising, have higher ambitions. At a popular WebmasterWorld forum, participants share tips and encouragement on

reaching a goal of $300 per day from AdSense. So it is no wonder that Calacanis created quite a buzz when he made his million dollar blog entry.

Google have proven once again that they excel at designing innovative Internet services. If you are in the web industry and have not yet used AdSense, then perhaps you should try it out. Or if you are already using it, perhaps Calacanis’ impressive results will encourage you to track the performance of your AdSense units more closely, fine tune their positions and formats, and take your earnings to a new level.

How to Earn Money With Google Adsense

You are working hard creating good and quality content for your Google AdSense web site. You carefully plan a good link building strategy for your Google AdSense web site. Google started to realize, though, that all clicks were not created equal.

In the beginning of Google Adsense when someone clicked on the ads you would earn a percentage of what the people were paying for adwords per click, today the percentage is calculated differently is kept a secret. Google Adsense terms and conditions require that earnings are kept secret.

Everyone dreams of making money online more quickly. There are plenty of Adsense make money videos being peddled all over the World Wide Web. You see it everywhere on the web, people create these ad sites that draw people in and direct them to click on Google ads to make their living. There are lots of webmasters struggling hard to earn some good money a day through their sites.

This is a basic tip, but many people haven’t figured it out yet. Google Adsense has opened the door for everyone to make money without inventory, employing sales people or selling anything, someone clicks on a ad and you get paid, its that easy. Because the ads look like normal web links, and people are trained to click on these types of links.

Anybody can make money with adsense, but unless you have traffic you will not have enough income to support yourself, you can make extra money but I wouldn’t quit my day job. Having the ads on your sites is a positive thing because you will earn money when the ads get clicked on, you will make a substantial amount of money if you have high traffic or low traffic on many sites.

It can be shown that with all else being equal, the likelihood of a click conversion is proportional to the amount of exposure to a particular ad block. Ensure that your navigation is easy to understand and that the user will intuitively know where to click to get to where he wants. So the webmaster’s game plan is to enable visitors on his site to navigate to the links which webmaster wants the visitor to click on, and not the other way around.

There are many individuals who have created a lot of money and know the ins and outs so most of them have many tips that can be followed to help get into this type of work. Many other people are now putting the code onto their own sites which can help them to pay for hosting and domain renewal costs. Signing up for an Adsense account and copy-pasting some codes into your website’s HTML code is all that is needed to start serving Google Adsense ads and make some money.

Signup is free and all you have to do is put the ads on your site. Many internet webmasters who use Adsense do not believe in free information they feel it has no real value. These webmaster are wrong, many Google Adsense affiliates, have increased their revenue by having free content and giving to everyone for free, so this is a debate that will go for a long time.

The first name which comes to everyone while talking about PPC Program is Google adsense. It is by far is the most popular contextual advertising program used by publishers worldwide. It has variety of revenue generating programs starting from Pay per click ads, adsense for search, referrals for Firefox with Google toolbar, Picassa, Google Pack. But does everyone earn a lot from it? Many think that just copying and pasting the adsense code will fetch a huge amount of money, but that’s a mistake. There are some effective tips to increase Google Adsense CTR.

The following optimization tips can help you increase your Google Adsense dollars:

1> Make sure the ads that are appearing on your site are closely related with your content. For doing this create open topic one page, use your keywords in page title, also check your keyword rich content and then mark some of your keywords as bold or italic.

2> Increase your keyword density. If you use the proper keyword density in your content, you will attract more targeted ads. Your visitors are far more likely to click on a relevant ad. Targeted ads usually pay more per click too.

3> Use Online Keyword research tools like Overture Keyword Tool, Google Keyword Research Tool and Goodkeywords.com. You can also try the free trial of Word Tracker and if you like, pay for the service. Other excellent paid keyword research tools include NicheBot and KeywordElite.

4> Use wide ads (336×280, 300×250 or 250×250). Because there are the best performing ads.

5> No Border ads. One of the best ways is to erase the borders of Adsense ads and make them merge with the website’s background color.

6> You can embed your Adsense ads in your content. You should surround the ads with the content of the page. This is where your visitors will be looking, so you should also give them ads to read and maybe click on if they’re interested.

7 > Place an image near your ads because user tends to look at this section.

8> Rotate Google Adsense Ads Colors to Reduce Ad Blindness. To prevent regular users from ignoring the ads, you can officially rotate up to 4 different types of color palettes for your adsense ads. When you are selecting the color scheme for the adsense ads, press the Ctrl key, scroll up or down with the arrow keys and select multiple color schemes with the SPACE bar.

9> Track your ads. Google gives you up to the ability to track ads by web page or by the type of ads displayed. They give you up to 200 custom channels for you to use. Experiment with different ad types and positions to see which suites best.

10> Use the Adsense for search box. It’s always a good idea to give your visitors the ability to search your site. If you use Adsense’s search box, you would be paid for visitors who click on the ads in the search results page.

11> Do not rely on one website. The more sites you have, the more ads have the potential to get clicked.

12> Use site maps. Use Google’s site map. It visits your site and will crawl it much sooner that any other submission process.

Almost everyone has probably heard of AdSense by now, if not then I am pretty sure you have seen AdSense and may have not even known what it was. To explain AdSense, I must first tell you a little about ‘ AdWords ‘, Adwords is a Pay-Per-Click (PPC) advertising system that is available through Google the search engine. You create a small text ad, which is placed on Google’s search result pages, the ads match your websites subject or content. You bid or set a fee that you are willing to pay Google every time someone clicks on your ad, this is a great way to get highly targeted traffic that can turn into sales, subscribers, or whatever you are trying to achieve with your website traffic.

Now that I have explained Adwords, I can now tell you about AdSense. AdSense makes it possible for website owners to earn money by simply letting Google place ads on their web pages. AdSense ads can be either text or images, the ads can be altered to blend into the webpages, so they don’t make your site look junky or poorly designed. AdSense ads are highly relevant to the content of most webpages, for instance if you place AdSense ads on a webpage that sells Coins, you will get ads about selling coins or other coin related subjects. Every time a website visitor clicks on one of the AdSense ads on your webpage, you earn money, and every month after your first balance reaches one hundred dollars, Google will send you a check or you can have the money deposited into your checking account. The AdSense program is a great way to earn extra money if you have a website, it’s easy to make a few dollars every day, and some folks are making thousands of dollars per month doing it.

When I first started Adsense, I placed the ads on my webpages and it wasn’t very long until I had made a small amount of money, a few days later my account balance had grown even more. I was pretty happy, but I thought to myself, after reading a lot of articles, I am not making nearly as much money as others are making with AdSense, something must be wrong. Then I thought, maybe my website doesn’t get the traffic that the others are getting ? I chatted with a lot of people on the internet that were in the program, and I discovered that the amount of visitors I get, was higher than some of the traffic they receive. You may think that 200 – 400 unique visitors a day is low for website traffic, you are very wrong, the average website gets a lot less per day, especially if your website is only a few months old or is not optimized for the search engines, or it’s subject matter has a very low search demand.

If my website was getting a nice amount of traffic or visitors, why was my AdSense earnings so low ? The first thing that I discovered that was wrong was ‘ adsense ad placement ‘, that’s right, you have to study each webpage’s layout that you plan on placing the ads on. Wherever your webpage has sections or areas that grab and hold the visitors attention, this is a prime area to place a section of AdSense ads, in other words, place the ads on your webpages where folks will notice them. We are currently allowed to place up to 3 different AdSense ad sections or groups on each webpage. I found after some testing that the best places for my ads are, just under the title or sub-title, near the middle of the page, and near the end or bottom of my page. If you place one section of AdSense ads near the top of your webpage, folks entering your site will probably notice the ads, and if they scroll down a ways and theres more ads, that increases the odds that they will notice them also. Probably the best place to place one section of ads is at the bottom of your webpages, right after your last bit of text or interesting reading, but make sure you place the ads before any other links, because when visitors are ready to leave your site, they may leave by clicking on one of your ads, earning you money, and if you have other links showing before your ads, they may leave your site by clicking on one of them. So after I studied the layout of all my webpages, I went back through and repositioned the AdSense ads, almost immediately I noticed my earnings increased.

I left my webpages alone, and about three months later I received my first check in the mail, it wasn’t a lot of money but still for really doing no physical work I was very glad to get it. My earnings slowly started getting better and better after that first check, the next month I received another check, then the following month I got another and so on. After having been in the AdSense program for about 8 months, and chatting with more folks who were also in the program I found that my earnings were still low compared to some other people.

How to Jumpstart Google Adsense Earnings

you heard the reports about guys who pull down thousands of dollars a month with Google AdSense? Have you heard the stories about 10% click through rates and $1-$5 earnings per click? Have you ever wished you could figure out how they do it and start making real profits with AdSense? If so, prepare for a great ride, because I’m going to show you how it’s done…

Google Adsense is a powerful online advertising program that involves a massive network of literally millions of websites. The program was first designed to run only text-based ads in a variety of sizes, but has now expanded into image-based ads as well. The text ads have been so successful because they are usually highly relevant to the subject matter of the site upon which they are displayed.

Google’s Adsense is also one of the most powerful weapons in website publisher’s arsenal. It enables you to monetize your sites easily and if used properly can generate a very healthy income. However, if you’re not using it properly and maximizing the income you squeeze from it, your leaving money on the table – something we all hate doing.

In order to maximize your AdSense earnings, you need five things: 1) the right ad format and placement, 2) the most valuable keywords to target, 3) lots and lots of targetted content, 4) relevancy of your websites, 5) better statistical tracking that Google will EVER give you.

Right Ads Format

The first order of business to make the most money with AdSense is to get your Click Through Rate (CTR) up. It doesn’t matter how much traffic you have or how high your Earnings Per Click (EPC) is if people aren’t clicking on the ads!

In order to maximize your AdSense click through rates (CTR), there are five rules you must do:

1. Use the one ad format which outperforms the rest by far. Use the 250 x 250 rectangle format.

2. Put your ads in the best location on the page (and it’s not where most AdSense publishers are putting their ads).

3. Use the right color combinations that will keep your visitors from ignoring the ads because of “banner blindness”.

4. Make the background color of the ad the same as the background color of your site, or as close to it as possible.

5. Make the ads borderless by setting the border color to be the same as the background color of the ad.

Keywords

The words you choose to use on your AdSense pages are incredibly important!

They are important because AdWords advertisers bid on very specific keywords for their advertisements, and some of those keywords have much higher bid values than others. If your subject matter is generally the same, but those specific keywords are not on your page, you’ll get the lower paying ads showing up in your AdSense blocks.

Content

Writing content rich, keyword targetted articles is important, and I encourage you to do this daily. But to get started on the road to AdSense , you need a boost to get you going: a boost of THOUSANDS of articles ready for you to place your AdSense code on them and upload to your website!

Content-rich articles can be freely used on any website as long as the “About the Author” information is kept in the articles. All these articles need is for your site header and footer to be added and your AdSense code to be slaped on them. They are a fantastic way to get those paying clicks going.

Relevancy

The relevancy of your Adsense ads is probably the most crucial factor of all. If you have a website that provides information about local landscaping companies, it will do little good to place ads on your site selling light bulbs. In fact, there’s a good chance that ads for light bulbs on such a site would not elicit any click-troughs, failing to provide the website owner with ad revenue. This situation plays out all the time on website displaying Google Adsense ads. On most sites with common themes, or at least themes related to something someone is trying to sell, the ads will be quite relevant. This is one of the most amazing features of the Adsense program – its ability to tell what your site is about (by analyzing keywords on your site), and displaying ads that relate to that subject.

Tracking

You need to TEST, TEST, TEST your adsense.

You’ve got to keep track of the results all of your marketing endeavors brings you, and focus on those which are giving you the best Return On Investment (ROI).

Even if you don’t spend a dime on marketing your AdSense website, you still need to track your efforts with ranking in the search engines, your efforts in link trading, your efforts with content building, etc. Those efforts are your investment, and you need to know which ones are paying off and which ones are wasting your time.

Adsense has some excellent tracking statistics that allow you to track your results across a number of sites on a site by site, page by page, or just about any other basis you choose. This is a very powerful tool and you should use it to find out which ads are performing best for you and fine tune your Adsense and Adlink ads accordingly.

Maximize Your Google Adsense CTR

This is the first part of two series of articles about How to Increase Your Google Adsense CTR. Many people think that they just have to copy and paste Google Adsense code into their website and start earning a huge amount of money from it. What a huge mistake! I also thought the same way two years ago. Later I realized that without optimization, that’s impossible. Here I will share all of the tricks to increase my Google Adsense CTR that I found within the last two years.
Here are some tips to increase your Google Adsense CTR:
1. Make sure the ads that are appearing on your site are closely related with your content. This is the first thing you have to do because if your ads are not relevant, there’s small possibility that people will click on them. Then, what should you do to tackle this problem? Here are the tips:
You can check this out by using this marvelous tool from the Digital Point Website. It is called the Google Adsense Sandbox, and located. You’ll be asked to enter your selected keyword and it will display every Adsense ads that’s connected with that keyword. What if your suspicion is correct? Change your keyword! Do not worry; sometimes you just have to change one or two words.
2. Use wide ads (336×280, 300×250 or 250×250). Because these are the best performing ads.
3. Blend your ads with your website themes. For example, if your background color is white, change your ads border and background color to white as well. If your background color is dark (black), use bright color such as yellow as link color. This will decrease user ad-blindness.
4. Place your Google Adsense in these positions:
o Above the fold
Above the fold is the top position of your page that’s visible without your visitor having to scroll down. This is the best location that works for me. I place 336×280 ad unit in this location and it works very well. Why? Okay, back to our example. Your article is about “how to bake delicious bread”. Someone finds it from search engine; when he opens it, he first sees ads about “baking school”, “baking book” or “bread recipes”. Who won’t be interested?
o In the middle of an article.
This works well if your article is long (more than 500 words). People tend to stop for a while and look for something different while they read. I suggest using rectangular ads (125×125, 180×150, 300×250, and 336 x 280, 250×250 ad unit) for this purpose and make it left justified.
o At the end of an article.
Many people reported that placing Google Adsense ads at the end of their article tends to work very well. This is because when people finish reading an interesting article, they usually think “okay, what’s next?” That’s your chance! By placing Google Adsense ads at the end of this article, people will spend a minute to read it and then (maybe) click it. For example, you write an article about “how to bake delicious bread”. And at the end of it, there are some ads about “bread recipes”. Who won’t be interested?
5. Regarding the fourth tip, I don’t recommend you placing three ad units in a single page. From my experience, the number of ad unit you place in a single page doesn’t affect your CTR. In fact, I even found that placing three text ads in a single page make my ads “unblended”. For example, I put 160×600, 468×60 and 336×280 ads on a single page. You know what? My 468×60 ads only showed 3 ads in it, whereas my 336×280 ads only showed 2 ads in it! My suggestion is: use 1 a€“ 2 ad unit and a single link unit on your page (Google allows 3 ad unit and 1 link unit to be placed on a single page).
6. Always use Link Unit! Many people never realize that Link Unit is the most profitable format if put in the right place. Try to place it near your navigation menu. People will misidentify it as a navigation menu and automatically read it. If your ads are closely relevant to your content, there’s big possibility they will click it. I move the top navigation in one of my websites to the bottom section and replace it with 728×15 Link Unit Ads. You know what? My Google Adsense CTR increased by 200%!
