What do you expect from a Pay Per Click Advertising Company?  Have you had positive, negative or mediocre experiences?  Are you sourcing a PPC agency for the first time?

A Pay Per Click Advertising Company is there to partner you in growing your business.  This is done by firstly taking time to understand your business, your competitive advantage, competitors, client profile, seasonal and market trends.  A professional PPC company will conduct an in-depth interview with you at the beginning of what should be a long and successful relationship.

Some people wonder why they should use a Pay Per Click Advertising Company? Many set up campaigns following the instructions by themselves and depending on their ability have different levels of success.  The reality is that without comprehensive training and industry experience these campaigns can be very costly.

To design and set up a fully professional PPC campaign is actually very time-consuming.  The set up is the initial stage which then needs to be followed with daily attention and ongoing optimisation.

The first step to set up a PPC Campaign is assessing the client information, studying the competitors and then conducting in-depth keyword research.   This keyword research should be exhaustive and include negative keywords to prevent wasteful clicks.  The next stage is the creation of ad texts which should be numerous and specifically matched to very small keyword groups.  Therefore the campaign is controlled and will achieve a higher quality score which means a lower cost per click as the account builds history.  Not only this, but your potential clients will always see ad texts that appear to mirror their thought and search process.

Analysis of existing landing pages is also done during this set up period.  A professional PPC agency will give recommendations for any changes to optimise these landing pages before the PPC advertising goes live.  All keywords/ad texts are deep linked to the most relevant landing pages to ensure the highest possible conversion rate.

Budget is agreed based on a combination of client budget availability and keyword costs.  The starting budget should neither be too high or too low.  If it is too low there is a risk to achieving a high quality score over time, plus of course missing out on sales opportunities.  The reason not to have it too high at the very beginning is to achieve some history, as this time is when the clicks will be at their most expensive and also to be able to analyse the initial performance of the campaign.  After 1-2 weeks if the campaign is performing well this is a good time to increase the budget as now it has built some history.

All parts of the PPC process should be carried out with full transparency to the client.  A professional PPC company will explain any jargon which the client does not understand and also help the client understand the logical process behind the keywords, ad texts, ad groups etc.

The aim at all times is to ongoingly increase the profitability of the client’s business while also building an excellent long term working relationship together.

Let me cut to the quick. In the UK we have now officially entered the longest recession in recorded history.

Businesses are going bust at an alarming rate and every savvy business owner wants to maximise their search engine optimisation marketing and their advertising pay per click spend.

Many have approached me for my SEO opinion on how to integrate pay per click marketing and new seo into an effective business marketing campaign.

The most recent request came from a business director who was frustrated at paying for both search engine optimisation marketing and a separate advertising pay per click sales campaign.

He expressed his frustration at paying an SEO consultant and a separate pay per click online company.

His initial frustration stemmed from the fact he believed only fifty percent of his advertising and marketing spend was producing results, but he could not identify which 50%.

Many years ago this frustration was documented as a famous quotation from Henry Ford the founder owner of the Ford Motor Company. He stated, “I know 50% of my marketing works, I just don’t know which 50% it is.”

Back to the present and our business director. He was equally frustrated that despite paying tens of thousands of pounds over a period of time for a pay per click online service. His pay per click marketing specialists had been unable to identify the magical pay per click formula.

It’s worth mentioning right off the bat, that there is no such concept as a magic pay per click formula.

If there was, then every business owner serviced by SEO consultants and every search engine optimisation marketing and advertising pay per click business marketing campaign would be a super success. And yet they are not.

There are way too many external factors which dictate the success or failure of any pay per click campaign or new SEO marketing campaign.

Search engines are by definition organic businesses, and as such they move the goal posts on a frequent basis.

I admit to being just as frustrated as every other search engine optimisation marketing company when search engines like Google change their algorithms and spin business owners off hot on the heels of a new seo business marketing campaign.

Despite some pay per click online specialists stating the internet has peaked, they are wrong.I listened to a well respected SEO consultant advising an audience that the internet has nowhere near peaked, and that the very best is still yet to come.

We are only in internet infancy, and as such very few business owners are harnessing the power of online sales and marketing strategies to promote their business and increase their sales.

One of the main reasons why many business owners are failing to embrace search engine optimisation marketing and advertising pay per click,is because they don’t understand how to integrate these powerful sales strategies into a dynamic online business marketing campaign.

Many openly admit to being baffled by the internet and the techno babble utilised by SEO and pay per click marketing specialists.

When in reality producing the pay per click formula for a pay per click campaign is a relatively simple exercise, which can be tracked every step of the way by utilising available online analytics.

One of the greatest issues I face, is that many specialists from search engine optimisation marketing and advertising pay per click companies separate these two business sectors.

Generally because they, or their company specialise in one or the other, and not both of these business sectors.

Make no mistake, these two business sectors are as different as chalk and cheese. I have lost count of the number of times I have witnessed a pay per click specialist try to grab extra revenue from a business owner by offering their expertise in natural or organic search engine optimisation skills, only to fail miserably.

It’s a two way track, as I’ve also witnessed SEO specialists fail miserably at producing and managing pay per click campaigns.

At the risk of sounding hypocritical, there are a few specialists who are able to produce proven success stories by combining both search engine optimisation marketing and advertising pay per click into one short to long term business marketing campaign.

The problem is these specialists as so far and few between, that they command top rates of pay, and are usually snapped up by some of the major corporate SEO companies.

Given I’ve already mentioned the internet is an organic concept, this means that nothing is written in stone.

So I guess the best way to explain the title of this article; SEO Search Engine Optimisation Marketing Versus Advertising Pay Per Click is to highlight a question sent in to me recently by the business director mentioned earlier in this article.

Of course I’ll also include our answers.

For the attention of the SEO consultant.

Question: “Many companies offer online services to business owners to achieve a good position in Google search engine optimisation marketing listing. But they charge a fortune, and usually want to tie you into a 1 to 3 year contract for natural SEO services. I would have thought that the easiest, most reliable and cheapest way, was Adwords. I should be wrong. Could you tell me why?”

Answer: Google Adwords may be an easy option. However in my experience of assisting high income generation e-commerce web site owners, it is far from reliable or cheap.

I suggest you conduct some online research before diving into a pay per click campaign as your sole online marketing campaign, because as well as many positives, there are definite downsides to paying for a Pay Per Click Adwords online marketing campaign. i.e.

1: Your pay per click campaign adverts only appear for the length of time your budget allocates.

2: Your pay per click marketing listings may only appear during specific time frames of the day depending on your budget.

3: You are in fierce competition for the highest place advertising pay per click listing.

4: Your Adwords PPC campaigns have no further battery life other than when they appear, until your budget runs out.

5: This means there is no medium to long term residual value in a pay per click marketing PPC campaign.

6: You can never get an exact or true analysis of your advertising pay per click PPC Adwords campaign because it is wide open to competitor fraud.

7: Online buyers are 4 to 6 times more likely to buy from a business or company who place on the left side of search engine pages like Google. This is the natural or organic search engine optimisation marketing listing which customers have more confidence in.

8: Any natural search engine optimisation marketing listing has ongoing residual benefits as this type of listing is not removed online when a budget expires.

9: Most new SEO specialists advise that a natural organic search engine optimisation marketing listing on Google & other search engines has a natural battery life of approximately 4 years.

10: Utilising the right online new SEO specialists and implementing new SEO can sometimes help you or your business achieve search engine domination of 1st page listings.

In my professional business opinion, one should not look to have SEO and PPC competing in any marketing campaign.

I find there is great business synergy to be gained from fusing both SEO and PPC into a long term combined online business marketing campaign.

I generally consider PPC to be the short to medium segment of my marketing campaign, and natural SEO as the medium to long term segment of the same business marketing campaign.

There are many new new SEO tactics which are just entering the online marketing sector like pay per results and natural search engine listing domination.

Smart Affiliate Marketing Advertising

Smart Affiliate Marketing Advertising

Affiliate marketing is really about the promotion
of products with an online company.  The affiliate
will sign up with the advertiser or marketing arm
of the company, then the affiliate will become
an active looker of clients.

Advertising is the means to making a great number
of consumers aware of certain products.  Therefore,
advertising should be both attracting and appealing
to consumers.  If the advertising isn’t appealing
enough, it won’t be effective.  If the advertising
manages to pull the attention of consumers, then
it’s considered to be powerful.

To make advertising powerful and effective, the
affiliate must use smart methods of advertising.
An example of smart advertising is the re-use of
one key concept of affiliate marketing – the
harnessing of human resources.  What this means,
is that an affiliate may tap on the capacities of
others to bring more visitors to the website.

The economics involved of making an affiliate
marketing program beneficial can be simple, yet
unquestionable.  Say for instance, when a visitor
ups a form to the website of the affiliate, the
affiliate may be earning .50 cent from the company
that he’s promoting.  In a single day, he may
refer ten visitors – which is equivalent to 5.00.

Keep in mind, the affiliate may increase his income
by utilizing others as well.  The more people an
affiliate manages to recruit or get to make purchases
or fill out forms, the more money that affiliate
will make.

To have a significant increase in income in
affiliate marketing, an affiliate can actually
do three things.  First of all, the affiliate must
search for a profitable site.  Next, he’ll need to
link with companies that are generous with their
leads.  Last, the affiliate will need to locate
a progressive and rising company online then
recruit affiliates for the company.

<p>Conventional modes of advertising and marketing are often far from exact sciences. For example, how do you judge the effectiveness of a television or radio campaign? Yes there are viewing figures, but have you targeted your key demographic, moreover, has the advert actually resulted in a sale or generated the desired interest?</p>

<p>Whilst keeping your brand in the public domain and creating a buzz, offline marketing rarely provides anything in the way of tangible results. </p>

<p>The Internet however, is a completely different beast. Everything can be scrutinised, anything can be analysed and changes can be made in an instant. It has revolutionised the way in which businesses and personal users can reach out to an audience; but, more importantly, it has also changed how we advertise our services.</p>

<p>Pay per Click (PPC) advertising is one of the most traceable and agile forms of marketing available today. We’ve all seen the sponsored adverts at the top of search engine pages; but beneath this rather simplistic exterior, lays a highly complex organism. </p>

<p>It’s no coincidence that a PPC advert appears that is directly related to your search. Online marketers and SEO professionals are charged with the task of identifying key terms to feed into their PPC campaigns, to ensure their adverts are seen by the right people. The wording is vital in producing a standout ad that’ll appear on the front page of the most popular searches; so spending time perfecting this can really pay dividends. </p>

<p>Behind the scenes, PPC is a constantly evolving tool. Whether using the extremely popular Google AdWords format or the equivalents on any of the other top search engines, real-time statistics make monitoring and adapting advertising campaigns a walk in the park. Not only does PPC show how many people click through to your site, but it can also unearth a treasure-trove of other essential statistics. </p>

<p>Amalgamating your PPC information with an analytics programme – for example using AdWords in conjunction with Google Analytics – opens up a whole new world of statistical data to help you better understand your site’s visitor activities. With Bounce Rates, Cost per Click {CPC) and Conversions at your fingertips, it’s easy to pinpoint exactly where campaigns are succeeding and failing.</p>

<p>This is particularly prevalent in situations where campaigns are hemorrhaging money but your site isn’t reaping any noticeable benefit. One click on the analytics can immediately indicate exactly what it is that people who follow your ad are looking for, how long they stayed on your site and ultimately whether their visit ended in a sale. If for any reason your campaign has struck a reef and there are hundreds of inappropriate clicks flooding on board, you can halt it in an instant. </p>

<p>Financially, Pay per Click remains a very astute advertising choice. With budgets controlled entirely by yourself, you won’t – or at least shouldn’t – find yourself swamped with an unmanageable campaign that costs you more than you can afford. Used wisely, PPC is arguably one of the most effective ways of advertising, particularly when the global economic climate is so turbulent.</p>

<p>If you like to stay in control, then Pay per Click advertising is unrivalled particularly when compared to its offline compatriots. There are no expensive start-ups, initial costs or ambiguous results; everything is produced in black and white right down to the smallest detail. With executive control, you’re able to shape where campaigns go, which ones to run with and which ones to drop.</p>

<p>Of course, if you are to master the most effective PPC advertising campaigns, you will have to really understand the finer details. This isn’t unattainable, but it may take some work. But fundamentally this remains one of the most accessible and user-friendly ways to advertise to a vast targeted audience. Ignoring the potential of Pay per Click would be to miss a huge opportunity.</p>

Derek Rogers is a freelance writer who writes for a number of UK businesses. For Pay Per Click Management, he recommends Impact Media Ltd.

If you are new to affiliate marketing or a seasoned pro, Advertising with PPC (pay-per-click) is one way to advertise that is rather easy to do, but if not done correctly, it could cost you allot of money with little or no ROI (return-on-investment). There is risk involved with this type of marketing, but if you do some research, and implement the five basic steps, you could have a very profitable marketing campaign.

The first part of launching a successful campaign would be the program you choose to become affiliated with. You have the option of joining an affiliate network, which is a database of affiliate programs. The advantage of being in a network is that they provide safe transaction system, that provides sales reports, and statistics. With database type networks you can easily compare different items to promote. As a PPC marketer you are going to want to make a 60 to 75% commission on the products you make sales on. Products that may have a recurring billing, there should be at least 40% commission. Another program you could join is the in-house affiliate program. These are companies that have decided not to join a network. Use care when joining these type programs.

The second part of a PPC campaign would be finding a product to promote. This sounds easy, but again ,you need to do some research. To start out with, what kind of product would you like to promote? Is there a demand for the product? If you try to promote something that bores you, or don’t know anything about, you will create more work for yourself in the long run. So choose a product that you like. If you are a network affiliated, you can find out how well a product converts pretty easy. Most networks list how well a product converts. Research is the only way to find out what product will convert for you.

The third part of putting a PPC campaign together is probably the most difficult. Keyword research is also the most important part of a campaign. Keywords are what people type into the search box on their web browsers to find what they are looking for. The keyword “bike” would be typed in to find a bike. For the most part, the more relevant the keyword, the higher the cost to use that keyword for your ad. Keyword tools are useful, and there are a number keyword tools available on the internet. If you type the key word into the keyword tool, it will give you a list of relevant keywords for the term you typed in.

The idea is to make a list of most relevant keywords, and to do this without putting the cost per click up. Say the keyword “bike” might cost $1.00 per click to use in your keyword list, then you might use keywords “sell bike” at 75 cents. The words in the ad are not what is relevant at this point. It’s the list of keywords that you put together that people will use to find your ad. The less relevant keywords, or less pricey keywords you use, the lower your ad will place on the page. Too low and it wont be on the 1st page. Keyword research is a topic that you could write a book about, and people have. A thorough understanding of the use of keywords is a must.

Fourth part of your campaign is to write the ad. Always use the main key word in the title of the ad as well as in the body text. Capitalize the letters in the display URL, this will help your ad to stand out. You only have a limited space to say what you want to say so, make the words count. You can write multiple ads for the same campaign. Write more than one ad and see which ad performs the best. Once your ad is running, don’t pause it, or you will loose your page ranking and have to start over toget your ad placed higher on the page. The more times your ad is clicked on the better placement you will have on the page.

The fifth thing to do is set a budget. To start, set it at 25 to 50 dollars a day. You can allways adjust it latter without any effect to your page ranking. Make sure you adjust the maximum bid so it doesn’t blow through your budget in a couple of clicks.

Pay Per Click Advertising – Getting Started for Free

Everyone knows that making money online is possible but in order to make money online selling your product or services, you will need one thing – traffic to your website.

There are many ways to get traffic to your website using different services. The method that most experienced marketers use is pay per click advertising. It has proven time and time again to bring in highly targeted traffic to your website or product pages resulting in high conversions if done correctly.

The most popular PPC – Pay per click program is by far Google Adwords as Google is one of the most popular search engine and internet company out there. There is one problem with jumping on board with some of the top PPC companies available – there are simply too many advertisers resulting in extreme competition and increasing your cost per click making your investment a little riskier and the possibility of eating up your advertising budget very quickly.

In the past few years, other companies have emerged giving advertisers a choice in their pay per click options. Bidvertiser is one my personal favourites when it comes to pay per click advertising since they are not as known in the world of advertising.

How can this be good for you? Let me explain, since there are less advertisers that are using Bidvertiser to gain quality traffic to their website, your cost per click is dramatically reduced as there are less people bidding on the same keywords. You have the opportunity to get up to 10 times more traffic on the exact same budget using Bidvertiser than you would using Google adsense for example.

Bidvertiser offers many of the same benefits as the top companies but at a much cheaper cost to you. This is key to your success as you want to bring the most amount of traffic to your website or product for the least amount of money.

They currently have a special offer right now which allows new advertisers to get $20 of free clicks which will no doubt get you some quality free traffic. There is no obligation or commitment to make and registration is free and takes no time at all to set-up.

Take advantage of this offer while it lasts and get $20 in FREE Clicks from BidVertiser – Click Here!

Pay Per View Advertising

Today, we talk about Pay Per View Advertising.

Pay per view advertising is a gold mine, period. People always want to know how I make 60k or more each month in white hat CPA and this is a big part of the answer.

I still pay an average of 1 to 1.5 cents per view on most of my campaigns or around $10 CPM if you prefer.

In comparison to traditional media buying involving banners, $10 CPM may seem high, but its a bargain considering how the traffic is targeted and delivered.

Tens of millions of people have downloaded adware from Zango, Media Traffic, Traffic Vance, and dozens of other large PPV networks.

These people are shoppers; they don’t have any issue entering their information online because that’s exactly what they had to do to install the adware in the first place in exchange for software apps, widgets, games, screensavers, etc.

If you are buying any type of traffic you should also be buying PPV traffic, if you are not buying any traffic, you should start with PPV traffic.

There is really no cheaper or easier way to make consistent white hat income for an internet marketer than using PPV traffic.

You can test an offer with 1000 impressions for $10, if it tanks, you lose a lousy $10 and move on to another offer you think might convert well, but if you only lose a little money, then you know there’s interest and can play with targeting to potentially make it work, if you break even, that’s almost as good as making a profit because you know almost for a fact you can tweak it to work.

If you make a profit, PERFECT, run more traffic to it and add more campaigns, just keep a watchful eye on it.

What is mystifying to me is how easy CPA networks make the process of finding a good offer, yet almost no one uses it.

Your affiliate manager’s job is to tell what is converting best on the network, so wouldn’t it make sense to run those offers first and see if you can get in on some of that profit?

The answer is Yes by the way.

Half the time that’s my whole process. My affiliate managers call me, I ask them what new offers are pulling really well, and set up keyword and URL targeted campaigns for them.

The key to success like with any other traffic is to track EVERYTHING. I use adtrackz, it’s available for download in the scripts section.

This is where it gets tedious, and it’s why most affiliates don’t do it, and hence why they never make any money.

You have to set up a tracking link for every keyword and every URL you target. It is incredibly boring to do this, but it is the key to success, and that’s a guarantee.
You need to know EXACTLY what traffic is converting, if you don’t and your like 99% of other internet marketers who throw money into PPC directly to landing pages, you’re done for.

For some reason everyone I ever talk to thinks there’s some secret I know or some trick that is the magic answer.

Maybe there is, but if so, it’s tracking EVERYTHING down to the individual click.
I will not run any CPA offer or affiliate program that will not place my adtrackz tracking pixel for me.

It’s not worth my time and money if they can’t take 3 seconds to paste some code on their confirmation page.

Without knowing what’s converting from second to second, I can’t effectively manage my advertising dollars.

I would also never advertise any of my own sites or products without first setting up a tracking campaign for every traffic source and then every keyword or URL if applicable.

There are two extremely important things you need to do in order to protect your income and your success on both sides:

1. Never, NEVER use a tracking pixel provided by the company you are buying advertising from. I don’t care if it’s Zango, Google, Yahoo, Media Traffic, or any one of ten thousand other traffic companies.
If you don’t think these companies harvest that data to run their own offers, it will be hard for you to make it in this game.

You need to just assume that everyone is out to get you and take as many steps as possible to protect yourself.

Always use your own tracking pixel hosted by your own script on YOUR server. This information is the digital equivalent of platinum and these networks would much rather make the 300% ROI themselves than take your lousy 1 cent per view.

2. Referrer block every visitor that gets sent to your CPA network. CPA networks and merchants are just as bad if not worse than the traffic providers.
If you let these guys see where your money comes from, they’ll be bidding against you the next day running the offer themselves.

We’ve included a referrer blocking PHP script in the scripts section.
The process is simple:

1. Put your affiliate link in the referrer block scipt to create a new URL
2. Put the referrer blocked URL in adtrackz to create your new adtrackz URL
3. Use your adtrackz URL in your advertising campaigns.

You have now blocked the traffic provider from seeing what’s converting for you by using your own pixel and tracking, and blocked the CPA network from seeing where that traffic came from.

I’m adding in a series of videos where I show all of this step by step from campaign creation, to launch, to tracking so that you can simply copy my process if you prefer.Pay per view advertising is a gold mine, period. PPC advertising is known to be expensive. But what if there is a strategy that will lower the cost but remain effective? Would you be interested to try it?

You may have heard about the importance of keywords if you have been trying out before with pay per click advertising. A common advice given is to choose popular keywords. No doubt that will bring success to your PPC campaign, but this method is associated with the high cost and remains a major concern for many.

There is a better strategy and it involves using long tail keywords. Before looking at how they can make pay per click advertising affordable for you, it’s important to understand what they are.

In ppc campaigns, you associate your ads with a few of your chosen keywords. For example, if you own a nursery supply business, you may want to bid for a popular keyword such as “crib bedding.

Crib bedding is a very popular word and it’s no surprise that will cost a bit. Alternatively, you can choose a long tail keyword and bid for “crib sheets” instead. It can still give you good results even though it has much less competition.

As you probably guessed, the long tail keywords are cheaper. The low cost of long tail keywords is a strong reason why you want to consider this strategy. As a matter of fact, using these low competition keywords is also examine how effective is your ads.
