Set Up Your iPhone For Internet Marketing

The iPhone is a wonderfully versatile pocket computer. Thanks to the tens of thousands of available app’s and the flexible way they can be arranged on your iPhone or Touch, it is easy to set up individual screens to cater for specific workflows. Having more than a passing interest in internet marketing I thought I would set up a screen of app’s and links to serve my assorted internet marketing needs.

1. iThoughts. A mind mapping application to plan your workflows and business models. I’m currently using iThoughts but also give MindNode a look.

2. Shortcut to Google Keyword tool to help you select a niche and populate your pages with appropriate keywords so they can be found when people search for them.

3. DomainScout. A domain name search tool so you can check the availability of your preferred domain names. The thing I like about DomainScout is, as you discover various names you like you can add them to a favorites list. As names pop into your head during the day you can check their availability and add them to an ongoing list.

4. Go Daddy. Once you have found your domain name of choice you will need to buy it from a company such as Go Daddy. Yep there’s an app for that.

5. A shortcut to a hosting company such as HostGator will allow you to host and control your website via Cpanel, all via your iPhone or Touch.

6. WordPress for iPhone will allow you to add to and edit your WordPress Blog. Prefer TypePad? Well you may want to look at the TypePad app.

7. A shortcut to ClickBank. Search for products to promote and check your sales on your iPhone or iPod Touch. You may also want to look at the CB Stats app.

8. TweetDeck is great, not just for checking and posting tweets but it also allows you to search and connect with people talking about things related to your niche.

9. Facebook app allows you to interact with your Facebook contacts and post happenings for all to see.

10. Analytics Agent. Having a good Google analytics app on your iPhone or iPod Touch will help you keep track of how well you are doing online as well as giving you an insight into what your potential customers are looking for. Analytics Agent has a nice interface and is easy to use but you may also want to take a look at Analytics App.

11. The PayPal App. Keep tabs on your ingoing and outgoing payments with the PayPal App. You may also want to look at Pay Mobile.

12. Documents To Go. A text editor so you can write articles or blog posts whilst away from the office. I’m still looking for a solution that enables me to edit the same documents regardless of whether im on the desktop machine or iPod. Many text editing App’s claim to sync with Google Doc’s but the ones I have looked at don’t really sync, they just allow me to upload and download documents. The best solution I have found to date is Documents To Go, and its desktop syncing app. With this you can make a change to a document on your iPhone and sync. When you open it on your desktop machine it will be updated. It works equally well going from desktop to iPhone as well.

13. iTimeZone allows you to see what time it will be in your location at a certain time in a different part of the world. This is very useful for making sure you don’t miss webinars and teleseminars by your favorite overseas marketing mentors.

14. Shortcut to Online Success Coach. I like to have a shortcut to the web page of my current online marketing training course or tutor. I am currently with the Online Success Incubator which is part of TechTamers. After many months of looking for the right assistance I chose the Online Success Incubator because of its extensive archive of information, Step by step guidance through the whole marketing experience, affordability and general no hype approach. If you’re looking for help getting started in Online Marketing I would recommend Online Success Incubator.

15. Briefcase. Online marketing is a continuos learning experience and you will find that you will accumulate a quantity of training courses, eBooks, tutorials, videos and audio. Its very useful to be able to get this info onto your iPhone so you can learn whilst away from your computer. There is a large collection of apps available to help you do this but I rather like Briefcase. Briefcase allows you to easily browse all of the files on your computer and pick out the ones you would like transferred to your device. It also allows you to view or play back most media types.

16. Instapaper. There will often be times when you will come across articles and web pages online that you would like to read but don’t have the time. Instapaper allows you to easily mark any webpage to be read later. Your iPhone will then sync with your instapaper account and download the articles to your device allowing you to read them at any time, on or off line.

17. What Tasks. One way to ensure progress is to keep a short daily to do list. What Tasks is currently my favorite allowing me to manually arrange the order of to do items and keep multiple lists so I can create long term as well as daily lists of goals. It is also nice and easy to use unlike many full blown get things done app’s.

18. Fenix Notes. Its always useful to have a quick and easy note taking system. I have taken a liking to Fenix Notes largely because I can open it and take a note very quickly.

19. Safari. Where would an internet marketer be without a web browser…

20. Or email for that matter.

In case you are wondering how to get shortcut links to websites onto your iphone or iPod Touch this is how you do it. Use Safari on your device to find the webpage you would like to save a link to. Tap the + (plus) icon in the menu bat at the bottom of the screen. Select the Add to Home Screen button.

Use the Power of Internet Marketing For Change

The day I found Internet Marketing is the day my world changed. Although I knew nothing about internet marketing, I knew the power of the internet. It is known that the Internet is the most powerful medium in the world and through the internet, we can reach out to billions of people everywhere, and anytime. For those of us who are “Baby Boomers” that concept of reaching billions of people kinda boggles the mind.

Before finding Internet Marketing, I had reached a point in my business and in my life that I knew something had to change. Ever had that feeling? For me the greatest gift since finding internet marketing has been the fact that I had to start using my mind again. The internet will not allow us to become stale because it forces us to embrace change. From that I’ve developed a totally different mindset. I know first hand the power of the internet…the information that’s available, blog sites and social media sites where we can express ourselves and connect with others and a place where we can market products and services world wide. Pretty awesome isn’t it!

Since becoming more familiar with the power of the internet, I feel very strongly that the internet and Internet Marketing will be the new 21st Century Industry. It is known that many millionaires and new businesses are created during a recession, i e. Microsoft, FedEx, Burger King and Hyatt to name a few, and that new entrepreneurs and new businesses will be the spark and the base for our renewed economy. With so many people struggling financially, it’s no wonder that so many people are starting Home Businesses.

Forbes Magazine says that 79 Million people are expected to start home businesses within the next 3 years and the Home Business Industry is now a $427 Billion dollar industry. It’s why Donald Trump, Robert Kiyosaki and Warren Buffet have all endorsed Internet Marketing as one of the new ways to create wealth.

There is another power in the internet that we as internet marketers can take advantage of and that is helping the planet. You may be asking how that is possible. If you consider the marketing methods we use in our own businesses and how those methods could be partnered with charities, environmental causes and other philanthropic causes, it is possible to visualize the scope of what could be accomplished. In addition, consider the economic benefit of sharing our marketing knowledge and educating people to become internet marketers. By learning a new skill, people will have a new way to generate income. Now that is Powerful.

So now we can play the “What If” game. What if we can stimulate the economy through internet marketing? What if we can give people a way to generate an income? What if we can give people a reason to believe in themselves? As Jim Rohn would say….”Why? Why Not! Why Not You. Why Not Now.”

When it comes to the search engine, and getting results from it, the outcome is not always immediate. For that reason, and because too many of us want instant results, we may do some work but then cut it off when we don’t see our website in the #1 position on the first page of Google or other search engines, for our key word or phrase. Internet marketing search engine specialists know that it takes time and ongoing action in order to get results. They also know that the work that is done right now will have benefits a long time in the future.

This is how search engine marketing works. We establish valuable backlinks to our website that stay with the website. We post new and valuable content on the website on a consistent basis. That content stays live on the internet, working for us every day far into the future. We do social media and social marketing that can be very viral, spreading all over the internet and staying online for a long, long time. We write press releases and off-site articles and that content also stays on the web. All of this is done with the keywords we have researched and that are the words people are using on the internet.

Internet marketing search engine specialist activity is a very powerful way to market on the internet where finding products and services revolves around keywords. Think about the fact that you may be on a website where you see an ad or a banner, and both of them are connected to a keyword or phrase somehow. Plus, you landed on that website because it was in some way associated with a key phrase about something you are interested in learning more about. You being there has something to do with a keyword, either directly or indirectly. The internet revolves around keywords.

Before you can get any traffic from the search engines, they must know about the website. There are any number of ways to get your website on their radar. You can directly submit the website and wait for them to visit. You can link to other, already established, websites that are indexed by various search engines. You can buy pay per click ads with individual search engines. You can do off-site work such as write articles with a link to your website and submit them to article directories. You can start a blog and keep it full of current content that links to your main website.

Once the search engines visit your site, it should have all of the requirements they like in order to give your website a passing, and even favorable, grade. A title that includes your keywords or phrases, meta tags, valuable content, H1 tags, alt tags, reputable websites that you link out to, and back links to your site are all factors that will help your website get ranked high in the search engines. There are strategies to all of these and it is important to learn them or outsource them so that they are implemented successfully on your website.

You can be your own internet marketing search engine specialist, or you can delegate some or all of that work. The key is to optimize your website for the search engines with a plan that will accomplish the website reaching the top few spots on the first page of Google and staying there. This is the way that you will get traffic to your website, new visitors that you have the opportunity to show your product or service to on an every day basis.
